Arizona State University - Guys & Girls - Student ReviewsCollege Prowler4.04
There’s a reason ASU is generally considered among the top party schools in the country. There’s a reason the girls at ASU are consistently ranked among the nation’s most beautiful. And there’s a reason ASU has acquired an undeservedly poor reputation for its academics. There’s something about the climate, the money, and possibly even the water surrounding Tempe that generates an exceptionally attractive gene pool. The girls are known for having fabulous bodies, long hair, fake tans, and big boobs. It’s pretty much Barbie central. Also, with the weather being so warm, it’s hard to keep the clothes on these girls (and guys, for that matter). The guys are known for being just as into their looks as the girls are. They can commonly be found in the gym checking out their pectorals and running a hand through their gelled hair. Like the girls, bathing suits and minimal clothing is also common for the guys during the hot months. Aside from everyone on campus being characterized as eye candy, students have much to say about personalities as well. It’s certainly easier to find a hottie than it is to find a real down-to-earth person at ASU. It’s not impossible, and there are definitely awesome people here, but it is common knowledge that what you see is not what you get. Of course with all these men and women and so little time at college, the sexual activity at ASU is pretty high. With everything else here so busy and lively, I think students are afraid to leave this category unspoken for. The girls are pretty wild and love to party, and of course, the guys don’t complain. There’s endless opportunity here, but there are also endless hotties, endless fun, and endless partying.

Single and Hot
A+
Pretty much everyone that goes to ASU is single. Its real hot here, everyone hangs by the pool all day, so the common look is a bikini or swim shorts and ray bans or some other cool pair of sunglasses. Its a very social community most students are down to party and meet new people Thursday-Saturday night either by the pool during the day or parties at night in giant student residential complexes. Oh and the girls are all REALLY hot. |

Beautiful People, Questionable Morals
A
ASU is full of good looking people. It's almost unbelievable. However, the extensive party culture leads to several cases of "hot, but unattractive." If you're into the party scene, there is no reason not to be here. If you're not, there are plenty of ways to fit in without partying. It's all very chill and very low-pressure. And very hot. |

It's just a huge school. The amount of people for me just gets to a point of annoyance - but I chose to go there so... Which means there are a variety of people around. The greek life groups are pretty serious about themselves. As well as any other group for that matter within majors. |

Social Scene
If social interaction is your number one priority, then scrap, shred, incinerate, or simply toss your other applications into the circular file lurking beneath your desk. The social scene at ASU has long held celebrity status for its enormity, diversity, and for the unmatched indulgence of students in all manner of consumption and extracurricular pursuits. In a word, the social scene at ASU is perhaps most appropriately described as "excessive." Naturally, students may find themselves distracted at times by the social machine (drink, flesh, and the pursuit of happiness). However, with a bit of commitment to studies (a letter of academic probation often expedites the process), and acquired maturity, the booming sound of the party drums might beat less loudly, though no less persistently, in your ears, and even the most ardent socialites might escape with their degrees.
Hookups or Relationships?
A good majority of both the guys and the girls are typically looking for a good time, someone to have fun with, and don't want anything to hold them back. The majority of students at ASU are unattached, though it doesn't always seem that way. If you're looking for commitment-free hook-ups, look no further. There are, however, a large number of students involved in relationships, of both the serious and frivolous variety. With a little patience and persistence, you should be able to find whatever it is you're looking for.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
Chances are you won't have trouble meeting someone, whether it be your "soul mate," if you believe in that sort of thing, or just some toothless beauty who needs a ride to the bus station. With over 50,000 students enrolled at ASU, some of them in better health than others, the numbers are in your favor. Guys and girls have a tendency to congregate in residence halls, at bars and clubs along Mill Avenue, and at off-campus parties. The best way to meet people is simply to leave your room. I actually heard a statistic that Safeway (the supermarket) was the #1 place to meet someone. The best way to meet people with similar interests is to, you guessed it, pursue those interests.
Dress Code
There really isn't one dress code; people dress in all kinds of crazy ways and anything goes. I can tell you one thing: It's hot here most of the time, and people wear as little as possible. Most of the girls here dress provocatively whether it's summer or winter, wearing as little as they can get away with. While some college students roll out of bed for class just because they can, this campus is more soaked with beauties than scrubs. The guys as well as the girls are pretty obsessed with how they look. Many guys here are known to be pretty boys, and the girls Barbie dolls. In the summer, or the months directly before and after when it's hot, many people wear bathing suits with shorts over them and flip-flops everywhere. The teachers would too if they could (and some of them do anyway); like I said pretty much anything goes. For the going out scene, Tempe is more casual than Scottsdale, and Scottsdale can be as dressy as you want it to be. Many of the places have dress codes, but you can get away with dressing down as long as you look decent. We like our trend at ASU!
