Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Off-campus housing can be very convenient given the right location. There are a number of apartment communities located within walking distance of ASU. Many students living off campus but within close proximity ride their bicycles to class. Though living in a dorm your freshman year is the best way to meet people and tap into the pulse of ASU, there are a number of apartments near campus that accurately emulate the ASU social scene. These include Vista Del Sol, The Grigio, and Gateway. On the other hand, some of the newer, more conveniently located apartment complexes are a bit more expensive. The surrounding areas of Tempe (parts of Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, and Phoenix) can offer cheaper places depending on where they’re located. If you have transportation, it might be in your best interest to search around those other areas.

The cost of off-campus housing is equivalent to, if not less expensive than, the cost of the residence halls, especially for students who choose to live with one ore more roommates. Housing in Arizona is extremely affordable, and most of the places are fairly new and in great condition. The best locations are well advertised by word of mouth. If you like a lot of people around, a lot of parties, and a load of fun activities, you might want to live in The Vue or Gateway. If you would rather your residence be quiet and have more families present, you should check out The Quadrangles or Dorsey Place. Lots of Apartment Options

There are a lot of options around campus and they all have very similar prices. Most are kind of expensive and others are just average.
