The computer network at my school is relatively reliable, it does not have too many problems. Finals week is usually the toughest because everyone is getting online, but is usually fixed in a timely manner. Computer labs are normally available. Printing is free for a certain amount of pages printed. Speed of Internet is good.

There is a student success center that offers help to students, there are free tutors there as well. The library on campus has many computers for student use as well as study rooms that can be reserved. There are also other buildings with more computers for student use. My school has many activities and many of them occur right in the middle where everyone passes by. Many fliers are posted about clubs and ways to apply as well.

I have been able to make a flexible schedule for myself these past few semesters. The problems I have had are that there never seems to be paper copies of anything anymore, it is all online and sometimes difficult to find, I find myself coming back and asking for step by step help from people working at the school. The school has different forms that help students take classes that will apply to their degree and transfer all credits to in state schools. I really like this about my school, the only problem is making sure they give you the right form for your degree.

They have a computer lab with a large selection of computers. Each student gets 150 free prints per semester. They also have an academic complex with more computers and also a library with a computer lab and individual computer rooms for studying. Along with the computers and printing. They offer a wifi network for the students.

The facilities at AWC are very nice. They just built two new buildings a few years ago and they are definitely modern age. The rest of the buildings are older but they are still comfortable and it is a nice campus overall.

AWC has provided a contract with the local bus service to offer students a economical pass to ride the bus the whole semester. They also have services to rent out laptops and calculators to those in need. They offer many other services such as tutoring, and even aides in the classroom for those who have a disability.

The career services at AWC do help you find a job after graduation. They are widely connected with many private businesses so they have a great selection of available jobs.

The majority of my school is made up of students who plan to transfer to a university or older adults just trying to further their education with a couple classes.

It hasnt been a difficult process, however the availability of classes are extremely slim if off the main campus; which has been difficult.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Fees for online classes. The school is out of Yuma and other branches such as the one I attend have a difficult job doing ANYTHING without the "Yuma Office".
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T23:31:32Z
There are some campus resources but none however are relevant to myself. However I can see how or why other students would need the particular services that the school provides.
College Sophomore 2013-07-25T23:23:32Z
The Career Services at AWC are sub-par as the existence of such a service is barely known even to the faculty. They don't particularly go out of their way to inform students new or old of their services.

My experience with the academic flexibility of the college has been quite unique in the fact that the faculty experience has a wide range from the almost over-qualified to the newbie Teachers. Each experience can be rewarding in it's own way as a student may have the benefit of an experienced teacher who has taught for a long time, as well as the energy and relevance of newer teachers who can relate to the students needs and experiences.

My student body mostly consists of kids fresh out of High School who haven't quite figured out what they're going to do in life. Which is fine because I like to distance myself from other students so I don't have to worry about distractions from my school work. However I worry that other students probably do not share my views and most likely find it difficult to stay focused on their school work. Either way the teachers and the school are efficiently run with out bending over backwards to help their students. That is not to say they don't help their students out at all, rather they help them out just enough to get them by.

I have never checked out the career center at my school but I am sure they are helpful and will answer any question I may have.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Great! Tuition is priced great super affordable and the financial aid office are very helpful and are always happy to help and answer any questions.

There are plenty of resources, there are plenty of computer labs and lots of places to study. As for the gym and other places, I haven't been.

I have yet to take online courses but I have herd good things about them, online courses just aren't my vice.
College Student 2013-07-10T21:27:54Z
The teachers are actually very helpful, the ones I have had helped me extra to ensure that I understood the assignments and how to use all of the online tools provided for us.
College Student 2013-07-10T21:26:29Z
There are lots of classes at this school but unforturnately there is not enough night courses, within the next few semesters I will probably have to quite my job so that I can continue going to schools.

When I was a freshman at this school I got almost no help in chosing classes and/or creating an effective plan to help me graduate. Luckily this is a fairly small community college so I knew many other students and they were very helpful.

Professors can be very friendly, but some will treat you as a kid instead of an adult. But all professors are willing to stay after hours to help those students who need them.

The facilities at the campus are decent. There is a gym with good equipment, library, a few computer labs, a pool, and theater and even a Starbucks for those that like coffee. It makes the life of the students more comfortable.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
In AWC the process for financial aid is relatively easy to comprehend and do. It some cases it is worth the money, but sometimes there are a lack of classes to spend the money on. Also, do not wait until the last minute to apply for financial aid, do it ASAP!

There are many places inside the campus where computers are available for students, not just at the library. There are several computer labs close by. There is WiFi all around campus, and it is reliable, though it can be slow sometimes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
