Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am getting is well worth the money I am paying. I got a little bit of financial aid, which helps paying even my expenses after tuition. I am also happy with because I know my degree will make a difference in my career.

The Career Services is great At Arizona Western College. After graduating, they post information for new jobs related to your field. However, you must create your own curriculum without help.

I am an engineering major, and my classes are exactly what I expected. Many math is involved and you need to take chemistry, physics, and economics class to have full cover for the first two years in the program. I was able to take art classes so it was pretty fantastic. I haven't had to take any crazy elective that have nothing to do with engineering. In fact, all of my classes are related to my major, and the material are very interesting. Workload for an engineering major here is intensive but not overwhelming.

I chose this college because it has flexible class schedules. I was able to transfer my credits to an university without paying full tuition as it is a community college.

The professors are very helpful and involved with student in a personal relationship. If you do not understand something, they can help you by giving a schedule appointment or coming to their offices. They also help student find scholarships and great opportunities such as internships and extra activities. The bad thing is the academic advisers. They are always busy and do not help much except finding a career plan for students. One of them told to apply for engineering scholarship available in engineering faculty, and the faculty leader told they do not have one yet. So they are not always very trustful. Fortunately, class registration process is very easy and you can do it by your own or ask for help from one of their office assistants.

Some of the professors are really helpful but there are other that don't really like to help you out. Overall they are good at teaching and helping you learn.

I chose this school because it was in my local community and I had support and easy help here.

The students mostly get along with each other and have a good time interacting with each other. There are all types of people, mostly hispanics.

The counselors are really helpful throughout the year and afterwards when it comes to jobs.

The professors are nice and sometimes very funny. The courses are fun too.

The school teaches their students very well and I feel like my education really matters to the staff.

I can't really think of anything actively unique about my school, except the people who attend/work there. Its pretty run of the mill, though not in a bad way.

We have one large main computer lab on campus, along with computers in most of the classrooms. Access to the wi-fi network is generally easy and the network is pretty reliable. On the rare occasions that I have had any computer related problems on campus tech support was readily available and incredibly comptetent. They resolved my issue and had me on my way in minutes. With the online resources at the school and the access to a computer through the computer lab, I suppose one necessarily doesn't need a personal computer, the well organized student could get away with using the resources provided only, but I prefer to have a personal computer as back up. I mean hey, the computer lab is not open twenty four hours a day and I don't always finish my work before the last minute!

Its a small campus, so the facilities aren't exactly what some would call top notch, but they are adequate for the size of the population and nothing is run down. In fact the school has been making several improvements, adding coffee shops, giving the bookstore a makeover, among other things, making an already comfortable campus more comfortable. We have a gym, auditorium, computer lab, library, and several outdoor common areas. One thing to be said though, there is alot of walking, its a small campus but widely spread.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am getting is worth the money I am paying for it. Luckily financial aid has covered all of my costs in the past, and I am hoping to continue this pattern in the upcoming summer semester. I would say that the experience getting financial aid through my school was a positive one, especially since I have a tendency to apply late, so technically there is every reason why I shouldn't recieve aid at all, but instead after complying with the requests from the school (letters of appeal, low income forms, etc...) I generally recieve the aid I need in a timely manner.

The councelors at my school have always been very helpful with helping me plan a guide for after college so that i am not wasting my time taking courses that are not needed for the profession I wish to do. The school hours are very flexible to your work and life schedule where at my school you can take really early morning classes or night classes of all different subjects. It is very easy to register for classes at my school and get the perfect schedule to match your life, all as long as you do it by the deadlines.

My school has a very welcoming campus life, we have an amazing cafeteria and our own starbucks coffee which really gets students together to socialize about life and school without having to leave school, we also have an amazing game room where the students can take advantage of for entertainment with your fellow classmates. Socializing with your classmates I believe makes students want to be more successful in school.

Computer access is very realiable at school. We have a compute lab which is very helpful to go in and work on homework or to search the web. The only issue is that students have to be very quite and there are no food or drinks of any sort allowed inside the lab. While all that is understanding, it really complicates study sessions where some students find it more helpful to study in groups when on the computers and have some food to keep up the studying and not have to be taking breaks or walking out of the lab for drinks of water or coffee. Other than that the network is always pretty reliable as far as allowing us to connect our devices to their network.

The student centers are the best! We have a beautiful math center that has so many tutors on cite that are just ready to help you. There are also white boards and tutoring sessions so the student can get detailed help on whatever subject they are having trouble with. The one I always take advantage of is our writting center. The tutors are so friendly that if you just need help like proof reading your paper or helping you start completely from scratch they are there.

I am a business mager, and my classes are working out well so far. They are what I expected. All the calsses I am taking are related to my major. The workload or my major is intensive but not too overwhelming during most of the year. When it is time for midterms and finals the workload increases a lot!
College Sophomore 2013-04-10T19:05:40Z
It was easy to register at my school. The professors I have had so far know a lot about what the subject they are teaching. Most of them are very encouraging and want to help us get the best grade we are capable of acheiving. They post their after school hours for when we need extra help or we can call or email about setting up an appointment. The curriculum is good. The workload is manageable if you use your time wisely.

With the students majoring in the Agriculture field. The teacher is always sending everyone e-mails of internships and scholarships available for our specific major. I think that is really neat for a teacher to take the time to do that.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
