Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

One of the main reasons people choose AWC is for the affordable tuition. Arizona residents age 59-and-under pay only $70 per credit. Non-Arizona residents age 59-and-under pay $80 per credit; however, the higher the credits go, tuition gets much more expensive for non-Arizona residents ($3,420 for 12 credits as opposed to $840 for Arizona residents). At Arizona Western College, financial aid is available for those who qualify, and it's granted according to the student's need, which is the difference between the cost of attending college and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). There are many scholarship opportunities at Arizona Western College, with a multitude of leadership programs, too. There are also different scholarships offered by the AWC Foundation.

Finally, AWC (through its Career Development office) presents many job opportunities that help students make extra money. Certain jobs have some special benefits, too. By becoming a resident assistant (RA), for instance, students get free housing including a meal plan, and lab aides who work at the computer lab get free printing.
