Not a wide variety but you definitely get your money's worth in the education, its just that the degree's credibility isn't worth much outside of Georgia.

This is the most bipolar city once it comes to weather. In the spring/summer/early fall the weather is absolutely perfect. Although the summer can get extremely dreadful because humidity tops out a 90% here at 95 degrees. and the winters are pretty abysmal too. You just have to learn to love it.

Campus police dont give a hoot about weed unless you smoke it in the dorms.

Savannah is by far one of the best possible cities you can live in, that a fact regardless of how you feel about the school. Midnight beach trips, beautiful sunset/rises, the abundance of resurants on riverstreet, you can get into any clubs unless you're 21 however, but all in all its a great place to be. The school gets bland though.

Nothing interesting. Typical everyday food, just more costly. The same rotated menu gets boring after a while.

Since my student loan is in default, I was casually dismissed and informed that there was no help for me. I must first contact HESC. When I contacted HESC, they wanted to place me on an unaffordable payment plan. Right now, I pay for school through credit cards which I continuously apply for, charge my semester's bill and then make minimum payments.

Rarely do I even see someone smoke on campus. This is a drug free school.

When it rains it sucks because parking already is bad so you are stuck walking in the rain. Plus it rained during orientation and we lost power.

Guys & Girls:
The students are very friendly and willing to help. The older students that are know more about the college are very willing to help younger and newer students.

They only really focus on their science majors. Some advisors are helpful, some not. They only really know about the science majors. Only a few majors, not even a business major.

The way to really meet people is to become active in some for of club or organization, to be honest.

The freshman dorms are new but they really werent my favorite because it was to much of a hassle to get into the building and then once in on to my side. I love the upperclassman dorm as it is set up like and apartment and you get to choose your roommates.

The process of getting into the Radiological science is pretty difficult. The core curriculum is very strenuous. If your not a math or science person then it can produce some challenges for you in the long run. You have a test that has to be taken before hand but the admission application is fairly easy it is all done online. My only tip would be is to stay on top of your classes and know what you should be doing.

While a good bit of the RAs are pretty lenient the campus police on the other hand are a different story. Parking enforcement is also pretty strict. As long as you follow the rules you should be fine though.

Greek life at Armstrong isn't very big. Most end up partnering with Savannah State. Armstrong is trying to expand though.
College Junior 2012-12-20T19:12:26Z
Unless you get to campus really early finding a parking place can be an absolute nightmare! You'll end up really far away from where you need to be.
College Junior 2012-12-20T19:10:37Z
Considering that Armstrong is in the South the weather is pretty warm most of the time. It's a little unpredictable at times. The day could begin freezing and by the end of the day it feels like it's 75!

AASU is located in beautiful historic Savannah, GA. It is a subtropical climate. The winters are short and often not very cold. The summers are long hot and humid.
College Sophomore 2012-12-19T21:25:21Z
The admission process was stress free. The enrollment counselors are very helpful and ready to assist in any way possible.

They have a wide selection of majors and have an incredible science program. The school doesn't currently have a business major, but they are working on it.
College Sophomore 2012-12-18T21:02:40Z
Parking spaces are limited if you do not live on campus, so be sure to get on campus early.
College Sophomore 2012-12-12T23:41:11Z
There is only one dining hall on campus, The Galley. The first few months it is great, but it soon gets old. My biggest complaint is that the hours. The Galley opens for breakfast at 9am (i have class at 8) and closes at 8pm (I work till 11).
College Sophomore 2012-12-12T23:35:15Z
Savannah has a very good public trasportation system. Many students use the buses to comute from school to work, but most things are in walking distance. A cab might get you to Downtown faster, but itll cost.
College Sophomore 2012-12-12T23:30:35Z
The campus here is fairly loose. The police are often rude, even when just going in their office for simple things, but what do you expect? The Resident Assistants in the dorms are students themselves so they are pretty laid back. As long as you arent endangering yourself or others, its a fun place to live and study.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
