Health & Safety:
Needs Improvement – It's easy to feel safe because the campus is so small and majority of the people are so friendly. We do have several car break-ins. The campus police act as if they are aggravated when residents/students ask for escorts. The campus is open so ANYONE can come on campus at anytime, but campus police are normally good at booting cars without parking decals/passes. However, this doesn't prevent those on foot, bike, and moped (etc.).

Just Another Person – Greek life barely exists. There's only 3 of the "Divine Nine" on campus. Only some arrogant Greeks act as if they're above others, and only some "wanna be's" treat them as if they are. The International Culture experience is the best.
College Sophomore 2012-07-20T16:02:09Z
Academic Strictness – The campus strictness is pretty nuch average, however, when it comes to academics, they are extremely harsh. The thing to do is make sure you study and arrive to class on time.

The computers at my school are very nice. The computer labs and library have recently new computers that are in excellent condition. The printers, however, is a different story. There are two printers in each computer lab and there are only two in the library. The network has its problems very rarely which makes it easier to work in a reliable place without having a slow system or constant connectivity problems. The wireless access is all campus. The need for a personal computer or printer depends on the circumstances. The library is always full with people on computers, so if you want a computer you have to get there either early or while everyone else is in class. The printers are pretty good, however, it would be useful to have one of your own if you need to print out your paper for a class in the morning when you finished your paper late or something like that. However, I believe everything is circumstancial so the best thing is to be prepared at all times and you will never have a problem.

Only Two Main Sororities and Fraternities – Pi kappa alpha and kappa sigma are the two main fraternities and sigma sigma sigma and alpha sigma tau are the two sororities. This means there isn't much of a choice if you're planning to go greek but pi kappa alpha and alpha sigma tau are definitely on top.

Guys & Girls:
70% Female – For a guy, this means your chances are excellent. 70% are female, another portion is gay males, this means there are approx. 20% guys and a lot to choose from.

Armstrong has the best community. There is historic river street/downtown and only 30 minutes away from the beach at Tybee Island, where The Last Song was filmed starring Miley Cyrus.

National Champions – Tennis has Recieved 2 national championships in the past two years. Soccer, baseball, and softball are also very good at Armstrong

Can Be Difficult – It is definitely cheaper to live off campus, but it can be hard to find roommates. I love living off campus and it only taking me 5 minutes to get to school.
College Senior 2012-07-14T02:55:02Z
Small Classrooms – Armstrong's small classroom size is great because the professor's have a great opportunity to interact with each of the students and help them whenever possible.

English Communications – I can't say much because I have recently changed to this major, but be prepared for a decent amount of homework. There will be plenty of reading, writing, and analyzing to do.

There is no parking on campus, only around campus. Overnight visitors are ticketed as bad as regular students. The fines are ridiculous.
College Junior 2012-07-10T17:07:33Z
I'm Undecided – I don't have a major at the time . There are lot of majors at AASU ,but I don't know who is in my major ,yet. My main concern is not finding out the right major for me and not havong a job after graduation.

Usually Full – I personally don't like using the school computers ,but when necessary I do ,but usually they are full so I just use my laptop. The wifi is sucky because it fails a lot ,so I use a router to speed up the process which helps out a lot.

Historical Site – Savannah is very historic and is filled with a lot of things to do . It's a tourist town so it's fun meeting new people and making lots of friends. The school itself is not that attractive and there is not much to do,but as a whole the experience is average.
Recent Alumnus 2012-07-10T16:18:15Z
Its relatively new, but there isnow a bus system that goes to campus from all over Savannah. Just in case you dont want a car and dont want to live on campus.

Get Involved – not a whole lot of on campus partying but downtown is full of bars and clubs and things to do for ""21 and up". otherwise the frat throw parties for different occasions and the rugby team has parties every weekend almost.

Health & Safety:
Kind of Secure – Very safe as far as violence prevention goes; However, theft has been a huge issue as well as car and apartment break-ins on campus.

No Strict Minority – We do have a lot of foreign students but there isnt a clear minority of either white or black students

If English Is Your Thing – Armstrong has a great English program. The teachers are very enthusiastic and helpful. They do expect a lot out of you but in the long run you learn a lot!
College Junior 2012-07-08T19:46:50Z
Very Poop – This is a dry campus, so all parties are else where. This means you have to drive around the city, hopefully not intoxicated. There is an option to go downtown, but you must be 21. Fake ID's are not an option, parking is extremely limited, and they are not in walking distances. Savannah is also a dangerous city, so being out late at night is not recommended.
College Junior 2012-07-08T19:44:12Z
Beach Trip Abaility – Many of the outside/ extra curricular activities are trips to the Tybee Island. Because Tybee has a beach, this promotes many students to participate in these activities.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
