Always Bored – There is one student center, but you must live in a certain part of campus to go there. It is a dry campus, so there are no Greek housing. If you like to party, this is not the school.

Too Much of It – People smoke pot in their dorms and have alcohol in there as well but the RAs dont seem to care eventhough they are suppose to.
College Junior 2012-07-01T23:32:40Z
Too Much Overlooking – There have been instances that RA's have overlooked and passed off as nothing. Why make rules if you will not enforce them? I understand that some of these people are friends, but is friendship worth a bad atmosphere for students paying thousands of dollars to live in a dorm that is suppose to be safe?

I Love Our Gym – AASU has a pretty great gym facility. They have a wide selection of equipment and they're all maintained. The staff is nice and if you're new to working out, they're more than willing to help you learn a thing or two. The facility also offers different classes like zumba, pilates, tai chi, kickboxing, hip hop, swim classes, etc. and they're a ton of fun to do with friends or even on your own.

Guys & Girls:
Don't Expect Much – Most of the guys are either not very good looking, gay, or just have tremendously awful personalities. I made a lot of friends that are guys here, but no connections really stuck. Very disappointing, but I'd rather focus on my education anyways.

Excitement of Armstrong State University – Savannah is not a major city but what it lacks in the size it makes up for in beauty. It has a lot of history tha is wonderful for a new comer to see. Also Armstron is right in between the two mall here in Savannah so shopping is always an easy way to have fun, pass time, and also meet some nice Savannah natives. For someone new to Savannah it would be very easy to feel at home in a short period of time because its very peaceful and cozzy here. Yet even though there is crime here, just like any othere place, you can rest assure that you are safe. Things will be handles swiftly and there wont be time to even get scared. But there is still a small down side. Alot of places you may need to drive to so if you lack transportation you should look into information on the bus system. Other than that come visit and have a blast!

Strict Rules Are Enforced – Armstrong has been a dry campus for years and will now also become a smoke-free campus. The police force enforce the rules that ban drinking and they also enforce the rules that deal with parking. While I may not agree with some of the strict policies, I must admit that Armstrong officials do their job well when it comes to enforcing such policies.

Activities Are Available Everywhere – The facilities at Armstrong are first-rate. There are three different gyms: the student and recreation center, the aquatic and recreation center, and the sports center. The student and recreation center offers a multitude of activities year-round. The student union is only a couple years old and is a great place to grab a bite to eat, get some studying done, or just relax with friends.

Apartments Are Easy to Find – Savannah has many apartment complexes that are located in a close proximity to Armstrong's campus. Most of these apartments are not too expensive, but some are not in the best condition. However, I think that saving as much money as possible while in school is more important than living in a first-rate apartment.

Process Is Extremely Efficient – The financial aid process if fairly easy and is not a hassle. Armstrong outlines the guidelines to receiving financial aid in a clear manner on their website. I received a reasonable amount of financial aid. The Office of Financial Aid responded to my e-mails in a short amount of time, considering how busy they usually are, and answered all of my questions.

Parking is convenient. Be sure to park in designated student parking lots. Otherwise, you will most likely get a ticket.

Health & Safety:
Very Safe – I always feel safe on campus. I've actually lost my wallet once. Someone returned it to the lost and found at the police station. It still had all of my cash, credit cards, and everything else.

The campus police are strict on parking. They frequently hand out tickets, and also require overnight passes for people that do not live on campus.

Activities on Campus – All the facilities on campus are state of the art. Our campus is like its own little city there really is no need to leave for anything.

The Spanish Experience – I am a Spanish major and I really enjoy my field of study. My profesores encourage success and open us up to a broader undersanding and appreciation for the cultural differences within the hispanic community.

I really wish there were more majors offered, that would really broaden the chances of people remaining all four years at Armstrong.
College Junior 2012-06-18T23:51:01Z
Parking is sparse and you really have to get there early to get a good spot, that is close to campus.

Hot and Humid Savannah – Lots of fun for being in the sun, however the humidity does ruin a great day!
College Junior 2012-06-18T23:49:24Z
Great Sports Armstrong – Armstrong is a great place full of eager people to participate in sports-activities!
College Junior 2012-06-18T13:17:32Z
Finals Week – The library at Armstrong and many computer labs are generally very open. There are a ton of computers always available for use no matter what time of day. However, during finals week you better get there early for a computer. Everyone frantically crams in the labs for easy computer access.

What Is Greek? Being Greek at Armstrong has never been a huge deal. The parties thrown at the school are more generally inviting to the entire school community. The Greek life is rather small, and it seems inclusive to non-Greeks. However, the Greeks are friendly and very accepting to anyone on campus.

Upperclassman Dorms Are the Way to Go! Freshman dorms are quite far from private, but upperclassmen dorms really give you the feeling of living off by yourself. The dorms are very spacious and private, allowing you to feel like you truely have your own space. The enviornment is great for studying and focusing on school, but still allowing great social events.
College Senior 2012-06-08T23:16:43Z
Could Use More Languages – I am currently a Spanish major but I would love to learn more than the languages offered on the campus such as Japanese, Korean, or even Chinese. Alas these are not offered. Japanese has been accepted to become a class but we have yet to find a professor for the course and it still won't become a major unless the students want it to become one.
College Senior 2012-06-08T23:14:11Z
I don't know much about off campus housing seeing as I am not looking nor can even afford to do so.
College Senior 2012-06-08T23:06:17Z
Its Okay – The campus has recently stopped smoking on campus but the drinking is still going on even though its banned and the smoking will probably be a lot heavier since the smokers on our campus are mad that they have to end up going off campus to smoke at all.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
