I personally loved going to any sporting event that I could as a student. Regular season home games were free for Armstrong students and the games are usually pretty tough competition and fun to watch (personally) I love the thrill of watching a good sports game!

Georgia is notorious for weather swings, 75 and sunny one day, and 40 and storming the next. Hurricane season is always a constant although the area isn't quite as affected due to barrier islands in the area.

As long as you follow the protocol set in place by the campus police and resident life staff, there really isn't an issue. Change has been hard with the recent change of Armstrong becoming a tobacco free campus (no smoking) and has been an alcohol free campus for quite a while although it is a continuous problem with under-aged drinking and noise violations

Savannah is such a well known city it's kind of hard not to admire the scenery! There are seasonal attractions that droves of people come to every year (such as St. Patricks Day) Night life is very evident and the parks are impressive.

First off, Biology majors are the only department with an official "Department Student Room" that is strictly for Biology Students to use! The teachers are fantastic although you need to be sure what kind of work load you'll be walking into with some of the faculty. Our department head/interm dean Dr. Gregerson is amazing! Even with his busy schedule he will take the time to know you and help you out when you're a biology student.
