There are no fraternities or sororities at Art Center.

There are a lot of asians and international students and most of the students are either very wealthy and can afford to pay tuition on their own, or not wealthy at all, but receive help from financial aid and scholarships.

Health & Safety:
The on-campus security are really bored and ticket you at any chance they get, but since the campus is isolated the only real threat is a deer or rattlesnake. Students are very safe.

People are more focused on their work than the drug/alcohol. There really isn't any pressure to do so and most people are open about their preferences.

Favorite experience at school was Marmalade the school's music club. Art Center is filled with hardworking creatives and the relationships you create there are what you're essentially paying for. But if I had to go back and do it all over again, I'm not so sure I would.

Guys & Girls:
It's an art school that's not entirely artsy, but artsy enough for artsy people to feel semi-comfortable.

The greenery that surrounds Art Center is beautiful. When it's cold out, Art Center keeps you warm and when its hot out, Art Center keeps you cool. Art Center's got the AC down.

You need a car. Some people take the shuttle bus which is a viable option if you plan accordingly and meticulously with your schedule.

Since Art Center is accepting more applicants than they should, parking is becoming more of a problem. They've begun to initiate a valet system that isn't very efficient. Parking is free though.

Since Art Center is in the moutains, off-campus dining can be a bit of an inconvenience, but when you've been at school all day it can be a welcoming break.

The most important criteria for admission is to know whole-heartedly that pursuing a degree in any creative field is truly what you want.

Most students are focused on their art/work that there isn't much student life happening.

Art Center College of Design currently does not offer on campus housing, which has its own set of pros and cons. It's great for students to experience the freedom of finding and living on their own, but students will not be able to experience the social aspect of a dorm/on-campus housing lifestyle.

We have no sports. Although there is a large congregation of smokers who hang out in the basketball courts when there aren't any cars parked there....

Our school does not have on campus housing. I have been lucky enough to find a well priced apartment with good easy going landlords.

It is difficult because there is so much to take into account and the financial aid ladies have a lot of students to attend to.

There is a good variety of people. Most are of asian decent but as a hispanic girl who lived in florida it is different and exiting to learn new cultures.

Average restaurants for an average sized town. Lots o expensive places that I cannot really go to as a student, and then the basic fast food places.
College Senior 2013-11-04T01:50:01Z
The Sodexo monopoly of food is HORRIBLE. There are few expensive choices, only opened for very few hours, and with no other food places around we are forced to eat here. We live off bending machines and water.

Pasadena is very quaint and beautiful. There is a nice museum to go to that is free for students. Unfortunately there is not much to do as a young woman or man in a suburban city other than maybe go eat at a nice restaurant. You have to go to LA to find some fun.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
