Art Center is predominantly made up of students of Asian descent. This is easily the largest make-up of students on the campus. The bulk of these are international students. This has less to do with, I believe, any conscious act of the school's to create a majority. There are many international students. Any lack of diversity seems to have more to do with the interest of students that come from similar backgrounds.

The only nightlife at Art Center is that of the students spending the night to work on projects. The school is notorious for its grueling curriculum and when in term, the students are focused on their work. Art Center parties, when they occur, are notoriously awful. This is the anti-USC.

The food on campus is of cheap quality and very expensive considering the small prices. I know of several students who have gotten food poisoning from the food. I myself once made the mistake of eating fish from the cafeteria, which left me feeling pretty queasy. Also, they serve little to nothing for students who require specialized diets (two of my friends cannot eat Gluten and are rarely able to eat any of the food served).

Arrive early or when classes get out, that is the easiest way to find parking. We have a valet, but it becomes complicated when your car gets blocked in. The south parking lot isn't always open but when it is your guided by the security to park in a specific spot.

The weather is quite beautiful. The school is placed on a hilltop giving an amazing view of Pasadena. In the winter months we have seen some rain, maybe on thunderstorm, but most of the time it's cool and sunny.

There are little to few greek life opportunities at the school. Maybe two or three. After being there for a term I have still not seen or been rushed to any of them.

We have somewhat of a diverse range of races at ACCD, but not most integrate with each other. Most students are either Caucasian or Asian. There are little to few other cultures that walk the halls.

Art Center has no dorms but listings for housing are posted all over campus. Most students rent a room from a family locally or share a house with other students.

Art Center is located in Southern California a top a hill. We always get agreeable weather, however since it is on a hill top during the winter it does get chilly and windy so dress appropriately.

Parking can get a bit overwhelming at the beginning of the ter, and toward the end when finals come around, for the most part fi you give yourself enough time you will find a god spot. You just have to not be late and allow people to leave.

Art center has many alumni events to help mentor students, internship events, etc. Many people from the industry drop by art center looking for people to hire. Some students can even begin working while in school sometimes.

You can find help though art center to find housing. It's a website but it is not updated enough. However there are posts all around school which are more promising for room mates and such. Parking all around Pasadena is terrible though. Very strict parking codes. You may have to pay monthly for parking - $60 at the cheapest. It's a pretty safe city south of Washington street. Rent is also a bit high. One bedrooms are usually 1200 dollars and up unless you're lucky or sharing.

art center does try to organize events. many students however do not always utilize the time because of homework. The events are a good addition to the school nonetheless

Nightlife depends entirely on you and your work habits. Many freshmen or students who are lower term often do not get to go out. Upper term students definitely get to go out more partially because of better work habits, developed skills, and spending less time honing foundation skills that are required for the first 4 terms or so.

Health & Safety:
Campus security is quick to respond to theft, outsiders harassing students, or escorting you to your car if you feel unsafe. They are also diligent in informing everyone about possible wildcats or other danger animals like rattle snakes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
