Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

It's fairly easy to transfer credits at Ashford University. Mainly, all a student has to do is let the academic advisor know the school the student previously attended and that advisor will take care of the rest. Most of the responses suggest that online courses are convenient and fit into many students' busy lifestyles. A typical online course at Ashford is generally five weeks and usually starts with an introductory discussion of at least 250 words to the instructor and classmates. The discussion is followed by at least three responses to your classmates' posts. This gives your classmates an idea of who you are and what your educational goals are and sometimes how long you've been in school.

Full-time credit requirements are 18 credits and part-time credit requirements are 11. Course credit is generally three credits per course. Attending classes requires the student to be in attendance at least three days of the week in order to be counted as present for the class. Completing and submitting assignments is fairly easy, but the student has access to the instructor's e-mail should he or she have any questions. Overall, enrollment, financial aid, scheduling classes, and transferring credits are all fairly easy and do not usually take very long to complete.

Everything Transferred

I go to school online so that I can continue to work and everything transferred from University of Phoenix. My advising team is also great and responds to my questions and concerns right away. I have not found anything about this University that would lead me to give them less than what I did.

Academic Flexibility

online classrooms are great. My counselor is very helpful, contacts me often just to check in and see if there is anything she can help me with. Books are easy to order, but more online would be nice.

So Far, So Good

I had no trouble transferring my credits over and they were all applied toward my degree. I have had great support from my academic advisor Justin Berry and I get all of my questions answered.
