Generally, the academic requirements depend on the major. However, in order to achieve a bachelor's degree, 120 credits total is required, with a mixture of general education courses, electives, and major coursework.

Work & Life Experience Credits
Students can turn their work and life experience into transferable credits through the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). Through work training, workshops, and other sources, students can earn credit for learning experiences by reporting them. Students can transfer up to 75 credits through Ashford's PLA program. Plus, students can turn in these credits to satisfy requirements toward their bachelor's degree.
Typical Session Length
A typical class is five weeks long, with the first day of class consisting of an introductory post to describe yourself and educational goals to your instructor and classmates, with at least three responses to your classmates' posts.

Classes run continuously. Typically, students take one course at a time and move on to the next course without a break.
