For a 35 year old home schooled single father the thought of going to school was daunting to me. I knew if I wanted to reach my career goal I had to attend. From my first day of the process I was made to feel as if they wanted me to attend this school and succeed at my goals. All my misgivings and nervousness dissapeared almost immidiatly after the first day of class. I found that not only was I not alone in my type situation but that my fellow students were open and friendly, and my professor's were most helpfull in explaining their expectations and how to obtain success in there given classes. My time here at ACTC has been well spent and they have left me with no doubt that I can and will be able to achieve my goals.

Facilites are limited. Facilities include, library with a few computers, no cafeteria just a Givonis. It also includes a theater.

Typical Community College – I didn't find anything extremely unique about this school. It was comfortable due to it's almost rural setting and small class sizes, but the lack of parking is inconvenient, the teachers that truly try to teach you are undervalued, and you are forced to deal with advisors who are annoyed that they are REQUIRED to advise you. I'd consider going to ACTC again, but not for the same program. It'd be for a casual learning experience, if anything.

Bethlehem House of Bread – This program helps people obtain a Diploma in Christian Studies, and even go on to Ashland University. To obtain a degree and to on to preach, counsel.

Good Community College – There are some things I would rate A+++. The Student Support Services program for poor students, first time students, and/or students with not history of family going to college is exceptional. I have also had some professors that I believe would be amazing no matter what college or university they may be teaching at. As a matter of fact, I believe that without meeting a few of the professors that I have, that I would not be the person I am today. ACTC has boosted my confidence considerably and I find my self easily excelling and I cannot wait to move on and start the Optometry program I am working so hard towards. They have truly been helping me lay a very solid foundation and I am very grateful for that. The really bad points (and I should emphasize really bad) would be the horribly unhealthy food options in the cafeteria as well as no sort of exercising facility what so ever. The local YMCA does give discounts to students, but it really is just an added expense that sometimes I hope I can afford.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
