Every classroom I have been in has enough Mac computers.

The campus offers a shuttle service to downtown which makes everything much easier.

The campus is nicely maintained and the school offers more advance technology than colleges of similar price.

A Great Sociology and Psychology Program – I came to Assumption for their Sociology program so that I could concentrate in Criminology. I really enjoy my classes. The professors are awesome, and they try to limit cost of required texts. The psychology department is very nice as well, and some of the classes overlap between both my majors, making it a little easier to get through.

Enough to Get by – There are computers only on the first floor of the library, which are usually almost all taken. There's a long line for the printers before classes every morning. Some of the classrooms have computers though, as well as other rooms in the IT building so they're easily worked into classroom learning.

There really isn't off campus housing, but with there being so many schools in the Worcester area it is possible to find apartments intended for students. The ones I've seen, however, are small and often require sharing a bathroom with strangers and having no common space to get to know others in the building.

Guys & Girls:
Little Variation – Everyone is basically the same. Almost all of the students are athletes, which limits partying and streamlines everyone to fit a particular mold. Girls pretty much wear and do the same thing as one another, and it seems the same for guys.

Mac and Pc – Enough computers around campus and in both Mac and Pc

The School – because the school is closed in , it makes you feel like your not really connected to the school.
College Junior 2012-08-06T23:52:53Z
i don't live on campus but i do have a lot of friends who lives on campus.
College Junior 2012-08-06T23:52:04Z
Its a Little to Much – Everyone who comes in have to deal with the guard at the gate , and sometimes i have trouble getting into my own school i paid for , which is a no no .
College Junior 2012-08-06T23:50:15Z
They do a good job trying to do stuff on campus so people do not go off campus to try to find something to do .

Pretty Good but Upperclassmen Dorms Rock – The dorms are pretty good. Kind of small but probably an average dorm room size. Salisbury (quad) is definitely more of a party dorm. Des is pretty good. Hanrahan is the honors dorm and although it is on a hill, we still have a lot of fun and plenty of chances to get together with other students. As the years go on, the housing options get a lot better. As long as you are willing to go to different events then you will have plenty of chances to meet people.
College Junior 2012-08-06T19:12:16Z
A Lot of Options – There are a lot of places that will deliver or that you can go to. I have heard that Salisbury Street has an awesome selection. There is even a day where you can go and test all of the different foods.

On Campus Is OK – The dining hall is not that good but improving. Off campus, the restaurants are excellent and deliver! Charlie's (on campus) is really good but kind of expensive.

Alcohol Is Bigger – Many of the students at Assumption College do not participate in the drug scene. Alcohol is a big issue, but the college puts a lot of effort in informing its students about peer pressure and drug safety.

Having a Laptop Is Helpful – There are many computers, decent wireless access available at Assumption College and always free printing. However, it is nice to have a laptop so work can be done in the comfort of your own dorm.

Assumption College does not offer Greek Life, but as it is situated in Worcester there are many places students can go if they wish to find parties.

Feel at Home – Assumption College is my home away from home. The professors, students and people in general are very warm and welcoming. It has a vast array of majors and minors from which to choose. Popular areas include business, science and human services. The workload is just enough to challenge the dedicated students mind.

Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies Review – The Assumption College HSRS major provides its students with the knowledge to be successful in their careers. Professors genuinely care about students and vice versa. Class sizes are small and conducive to a better learning atmosphere. Students gain the ability to help people from all walks of life realize their full potential in society.

Could Be Better – I am not dirt poor but I am not rich. I received a decent financial aid compared to other students. BUT they all have millions compared to what my parents make. If you make appointments with the financial aid they will listen but you have to get your point across. If you tell them you need money they will take a second look and try their best. Also getting good grades will help you get more money if needed.
College Senior 2012-07-27T17:35:13Z
21 Over – If your 21 or over the night life is more vibrant. You dont have to worry about campus police telling you to open your back pack. There are plenty of bars in Worcester, MA. Campus is mostly dead unless some senior throws his 21st birthday party.

The food at assumption is pretty averqage, there is taylor which is the typical dining hall that offers a buffet but sometimes the food is not that great but the benefit is that there are multiple choices. Then there is charlies which offers more sandwiches and customization.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
