I chose Atlanta Technical College because of the convenience of getting to my classes, The tuition is affordable and after I met the Chefs at the school they made me feel comfortable about returning to school. No matter what age I was.

What Is Unique About Atlanta Technical College

What is unique about Atlanta Technical College? What is considered unique now a days? One thing I notice about ATC is the leadership at the college. Our president Dr. Thomas lead the school with passion. She believes in opening doors for student to experience what life has to offer us.

Blockers Underdogs

My experience at Atlanta Technical College has been a roller coaster. I never cared for school and I was hesitant in returning after 30 years. My first day at ATC I sat in the front of the class which was something I normally wouldn't do. I made a decision that I would not hide in the back of the class, that I would step outside of my comfort and rediscover myself. That was my first step toward my goal of completing my studies in Culinary Arts. The next year I became active in SKILLS, and DECA. I competed in my first competition February 2012. I did not place but I was voted to be a DECA Officer for the state of Georgia. In March of 2012 I Place second in the Front of the House Competition and April 24, 2012 my team won First Place in the Culinary Competition in Salt Lake City, Utah. I call my team Blocker's Underdogs because no one thought ATC would place in the competition. I am out of my box and I am so ready to make my mark in this world.
