The only nightlife I know of on campus is evening classes.

Dorms Are Pretty Nice – I personally do not live on campus; however, I have been inside the dorms and they are very very nice. North commons is the newest and nicest. Try to get in there if you wish to live on campus.

Key Points – The professors at AUM are amazing they are always willing to help if students are willing to try. The admissions office is wonderful they work especially hard to recruit young new faces to AUM. The workload is much like that of other schools; however, one must study. Most profs are crazzyyyyy about group projects so participate and do them!!!!

AUM Is the BEST – If you are serious about your education and getting a degree then AUM is the place for you. There are alot of activities and clubs; however, the main focus is where it should be and that is on the actual classes. The professors are amazingly helpful and most will work with students in difficult situations. ALso a great school for adults with children because there is an affordable on-campus daycare.

There are a few Auburn Montgomery shuttles and the Montgomery Area Transit Buses make stops at school. The shuttles are most likely the best option because of saftey and convenience.
College Senior 2011-01-23T06:55:05Z
There are a few apartment complexes in the area but mostly large homes surround AUM.

Unique Features – I am not sure about other schools, but the faculty at Auburn Montgomery is great! The teachers and staff are extremely nice and helpful and seem to genuinely care about each student. Great hospitality is a feature that always sets something apart in a positive way.
Another great feature at Auburn Montgomery is the many tutoring and counseling opportunities they provide.

AUM Alert – The weather in Alabama rarely gets bad, and when we will be having bad/severe weather, AUM Alert notifies us by sending everyone prescribed a text message, and also sends an email to every student. Very helpful and useful.

Filing for any loans or FASFA or any other outside source is very simple and the aids enjoy helping. Problem is it takes too long to be notified about an award or takes longer to have an award received. Plus there aren't enough academic scholarships at Aum
College Senior 2011-01-14T04:31:21Z
Is Exactly What It Stands for Aumazing – Aum has very few downs to it. The teachers and students love to be social and very friendly and will easily work with you if there are any problems to assess. I learned alot here that I didn't expect to learn in an average semester of college.
College Senior 2011-01-14T04:27:14Z
The dorms at Aum have decenet policies and the spacing and cleaness of the dorms is above average, but if you are receiving outide sources to pay for your housing and you file in time before the semester begins and you don't receive the award for awhile they just kick you out regardless if you have for example a FASFA with enough money on its way.

Being a Communications Major – Being a Communications major at AUM has it's pros and cons. The pros include the fact that after you've taken certain communications classes, you are familiar with all of the departmental staff. The department is really close knit and about 10 professors total teach classes necessary for this major. It helps to be familiar with your professors in order to feel comfortable enough to be able to talk to them about any questions or concerns you may have. Another pro is that a lot of times, what you're learning in one class can overlap with what's being taught in another. This allows for easy retention. The only con with being a communications major is the lack of clubs. Certain majors such as business, psychology, and economics have their own clubs which center around things of interest to the students. Communications doesn't have this for their students. However, being a communications major is great and the pros outweigh the cons.

Auburn University at Montgomery has a wide array of computer labs available for use. There is a huge computer lab in the student center with almost 50 Dell and Apple computers inside. In addition, the library has ample computers on each of it's 10 floors. Also, the education department and the business department have computer labs available for students, regardless of their major. Printing at certain places on campus is free, and in some buildings, such as the student center, it's 10 cents a page which is deducted from a student's account. (This account is strictly for printing use, which is a part of student activities fees paid at the beginning of the year by each student) So, no matter if it's time for final examinations or not, you can find a computer at AUM for your personal use. (You just have to look around)

very boring, there are little parties on the weekend but nothing big. and there is nowhere to go if you are under 21. the people are nice but its really boring.
College Senior 2010-11-30T08:31:11Z
theres alot of different races on campus. the new diversity guy came in and acted like he was going to fix something that wasnt broken. apparently there wasnt enough diversity. i think if there was a need for more we would do it ourselves. from what i do we do just fine without that dummy telling us what to do and how we should act towards other people, when all he does really is try to make the african americans look better and caancel out everyone else.

Pretty Dry – Night life is pretty nonexistent if you're under 21, besides a few stray places that are mostly geared towards one culture.

Auburn University Montgomery – The faculty at Auburn University Montgomery are caring and dedicated to teaching their students and dedicated to providing accurate and bias free information. The library is very expansive and includes plenty of computers, books, magazines, and newspapers for the students. there are plenty of opportunities to partake in student life, like greek societies, clubs, etc.

Guys & Girls:
Girls and Guys – For the most part everyone is friendly. There are always guys playing ping pong and sororities decorating the campus.

Health & Safety:
Personal Safety – I always feel safe on campus, even at night when I am alone. It is a small campus, but the campus police are always on duty. The campus is pretty well lit, also.

Drugs Are a Way to Get Into Trouble! Drugs are not a big deal at my school! If anyone is doing anything, they are probably smoking a cigarette!

Parking on campus at AUM is a nightmare; unless you live on campus. we must walk at least a mile away and the parking lots are all seperated, and the buildings are so far a part, that when its cold outside, you get iceburn from just walking!

Dorms or Apartments ?? The campus living is extremely crowded all the time. there are two different types of housing builds at Auburn Montgomery. One is newer, built in the last 10-12 years. While the other ones were here back in the 1970's. The newer ones are very spacious and very well maintained and security is not an issue with them. the older ones, however, are more like apartments and one may feel like a real college students, and they are much more cheaper then the older ones; averaging at $2000.00 a semester, while the oloder ones are only $1500.00 a year! anyone could find an apartment for 2000.00 a year instead of living in the newer dorms !
Sorry, there are no reviews.
