Drug safety is not as strict as it should be. Although there are not a lot of students that uses drugs, there are a few. The few that use drugs get away with it because there is a wide range on independence and privacy when it comes to being in dorm rooms.

Although students often get tired of eating at the same places, it is very convenient. Especially when you have been studying all day and you are feeling starved. The NC dining hall is one of the best.

Apple Bee's is a very good restaurant and it is only about 10 minutes away from campus. They also have reasonable prices. I love their 2 for $20 deals.

They made their presence known, but it's not something I want to be a part of.

Guys & Girls:
Is better than what I expected. A lot of the students focus on Christianity. They're very much into their own cliques, no real diversity. I'm speaking from a kid coming from the city to a small town. You'll find a lot of stereotypes here.

They have a Papa John's which is a really popular. They don't serve everything is on the menu place above. It takes too long to get a personal pan pizza. The sandwich place is okay, but not the best. There are no international options. And a small salad bar. No real focus on healthy eating. The staff is friendly but young and will quickly change focus from food to social life. The other thing is the $600 Meal plan that you have to stretch out to the end of the year. Oh and if you pay with credit card be careful because of the holds get placed on your account.

Variety of people from every background, but it works

Great nightlife for people who do not like to party, but for the people that do like to go out there are plenty of schools around that offer parties.

I have received a good amount of financial aid from AUM. From what I have experienced so far the financial aid process that I was required to do in order to receive financial aid was a breeze. It was not as difficult as I thought. In order to get the most information and opinions I would suggest to future students that they need to make an appointment with their financial aid officer.

I would give this a B because the drug safety at Auburn University at Montgomery is not too terrible and is not exactly the best. If you are walking from classes each day you would be able to notice that AUM has certain smoking corners where all the smokers like to hangout and enjoy a smoking break after class. I have not seen any alcohol or nor have a come in contact with peer pressure since I have been at AUM.

Lots of choices close by. Panera, Red Robin, Chick Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Cracker Barrel, Chili's,....

I've learned that the average 'arrive 30 mins early' for a good spot doesn't work for AUM. You need to arrive at least 45-60 mins early to even consider getting a close spot. Any time after that and you don't get close to your building.

I don't stay on campus, but I'm guessing since there are a lot of younger students, it really shouldn't be one

I don't live on campus, I don't stay on campus any extra time past classes, so I don't know what the girls and guys are like on campus

I LIVE IN THE NEWEST DORM AND IT IS GREAT. THE OLDER DORMS ARE NICE ALSO. VERY CLOSE TO CLASSES, ON SITE LAUNDRY. LOTS OF ACTIVITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN.
College Sophomore 2013-07-31T01:50:21Z
THE PROCESS IS PRETTY EASY. STUDENTS HAVE TO MAINTAIN A GPA OF AN B.

THERE'S AN ENORMOUS OF ON-SITE PARKING. ALWAYS MORE SPACES THAN CARS.

I am a nursing major. I love taking my lower division courses. I have always dreamt about becoming a neonatal nurse and I am very determined to reach my goals. I love my school and I know I would not be as happy if I chose another school to attend. I do not have a concern about finding a job in my field after graduation because 97% of nursing student find a job within three months after graduation.
College Sophomore 2013-07-28T21:29:21Z
At Auburn Montgomery the drug scene is not a big deal. I have never come across anyone using them on campus and I know plenty of people.

Health & Safety:
I always feel safe on campus. The campus police are always on duty. I have night classes and I feel very comfortable walk back to my dorm room.

On campus, it can be a number of things going on with the weather. It can be nice and sunny in the summer (although hot), and recently it has been raining a lot. Mostly, it's inconvenient when it rains because you have to track across campus, and the outside stairs turn into waterfalls. I mostly like the fall and winter months on campus.

I am majoring in Psychology, and I am pleased with my program so far. I have gotten to choose my classes with the help of my advisor, and I have learned a lot from the great pool of professors. I would definitely do it all over again if I had the chance. My goal for my future career is to be a certified Psychiatrist. My concerns about finding a job in my field is finding the right place (city and state) to start my career. You never know where you'll end up, but that's half the fun.

I would say a B because its and all around great campus with great people ! not an A because a small amount are very weird

The availability and convenience of parking spaces is absolutely awful if you are a commuter student. The resident students have a bad habit of driving to classes instead of walking which means that there are less parking spaces. Commuter students can not park in the dorm parking lots, so this adds more stress to the situation. I would suggest getting to campus at least thirty minutes before your class starts because of the lack of parking and the long walk if you manage to find parking.
College Senior 2013-07-10T17:47:55Z
I am extremely happy with my program. If I could do it all over again, I would make sure that I started at Auburn University Montgomery instead of transfering in from another university. I plan on become an Applied Behavioral Analyst, and AUM has helped me to get closed to this goal. The only concern I have about finding a job in my field is that it is a highly competive field and the jobs are limited.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
