There are so many international students on AUM's campus. In almost everyone of my classes there is a foriegn student. I think that is great because it helps opens peoples eyes to the different races of the world.

Guys & Girls:
There are many different types of guys at AUM. There are preppy guys, geeky guys, and those just cute and silly ones. The girls are mostly sweet and pretty. AUM is a little of everyone on it's little campus. Makes it easy for others to fit in.

Guys & Girls:
The girls on campus are pretty good looking, there's just not an abundance of them

It was a smooth process and I received enough money

I myself really do like living on campus here at AUM because it is very nice, like home to me, and quiet at times.

Health & Safety:
The campus is covered with surveillance cameras that seem to be regularly monitored. AUM Police have emergency tower like structures within eyesight on campus that have a "Help" button that contacts the campus police. I have seen a few pranks as far as fire alarm pulls, but have never heard of malicious problems.

Parking is free, but it is very hard to find a space.

Everything is easy going, you just have to be an adult.

The dine-in resturants, near Auburn University Montgomery, is very nice, very convient, and very good with cost. Yet, the fast food resturant are not so good, mainly because of the quality, but it does the job.

AUM is a very nice school with a large-campus feel to it even though Montgomery is not a very big city. I love the fact that the staff and faculty for the most part are extremely professional, helpful, and friendly all at the same time. Since transferring to AUM last semester I have found it to be more of the college atmosphere I was looking for. There is always something going on for the students and they are always giving away free t-shirts and food and informing students on important issues as well. AUM is a wonderful college to attend.

It is really hot down here in Alabama, but the campus has a lot of places for shade. However, it is a long walk from some of the parking lots to the classrooms and when its hot or cold that can get annoying. Other than that, it is a pleasant campus to be on.

Parking can be a headache! Most people fight for a close parking place. You have to get there super early in order to get your desired parking place. And it is the same for housing parking places.

The diversity here is great. There is no discrimination or smart remarks about anyone's ethnicity or sexuality. We have groups that everyone can "fit in" as well. Example: Gay/Straight Alliance, Religious and international groups and many more. Diverse is big at AUM!

I love my program and easily understand it. I have a focus in Pre-Pharmacy and I am very confident I can find a job after I receive my degree.

It was fairly easy to get into my Biology major. In fact my mother did it with the school information she had at home while I was away. They have good advisers to help with choosing the rite classes as well.

Parking is faily good you just have to time it right to get the good parking spots. Either show up like 5min early or 5min late from the times classes let out.

You normally don't see them or know that we have any greeks unless they are having an event or fundraiser. You have to keep your eyes open to find out whats going on or where they will be

No late night places to eat really unless you want to go to ihop or waffle house. Most of the good places are in East Chase there are a few hidden gems out of the way but you have to know ppl to find out.

Health & Safety:
I generally feel safe the campus police is always visible and blue emergency phones are set up all over campus. They have lighting but some areas are a little dim.

There is not a substantial amount of public or school transportation, and what there is does not run reliably. It is also not available 24/7.
Recent Alumnus 2012-10-28T15:22:10Z
There is not a significant amount to do on or off campus for anyone who is under 21, but 21+ there is a fair amount of events, plus a variety of bars in the Montgomery and Prattville areas.

The soccer and tennis teams are wonderful to watch.

I have only received one scholarship while at AUM and it was only $500.00 for books which was only for one semester. Not saying that I am not thankful but scholarships are competitive. You have to truly stand out from the crowd. I have received ample amounts of federal student loans but that's just debt. I haven't had trouble reaching financial aid representatives and most of them have great attitudes and are willing to help.

The process was easy. I am an Economics-International Business major. At AUM you can concentrate in International Business under Economics or International Studies. There is not a set process when declaring your major, you just have to decide if it's something that you're interested in. I would say that if you decide to major in International Business make sure it's something that you are truly interested in and decide if you want to go the Economics route or the International Studies route.

I haven't had an internship yet but I would like to have one. I think having experience which is correlated to my field is essential for me to have success after graduating. I think it is also useful to have internship experience because it can help me determine in which direction I would like to take my career. I do have concerns about finding an internship. Montgomery is such a small place for an economics-international business student.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
