The town is very small, patriotic and safe. I feel like I'm in a bubble when I'm at school.

The student center has several computers on the second floor, and it's rare that there isn't at least one open. The library has more than enough computers. Even during finals I've never seen them all taken. Most buildings have at least one computer lab, although dorms generally do not. Although the computers are numerous, they are not very fast, and shouldn't be relied on to get something printed in a hurry before class. Campus WiFi is very fast and rarely goes down, even during peak hours. Another important consideration to make is that most professors prefer to communicate through email. If you have a smartphone, this isn't an issue, but it can make things difficult if you can only access your email when you're on campus. You can definitely get by without having your own computer, but I strongly recommend it for the sake of convenience.

Nursing is extremely competitive at Auburn University. You must apply to the school of nursing. Take your sciences and harder math classes through the University. They do not like a lot of transfer credit. High GPA is a must. It is a very time consuming and difficult course.

Tiger transit it great. Lots of buses running constantly to all dorms as well as apartments.

It rains occasionally and you must walk through it between buildings.

Auburn has amazing transportation. You can take a bus to any location in the city. They can even take you to the mall or near the theater. They even have a number you can call to get a bus for late at night and they can take you home.

There are tons of places to locate a computer if needed. Almost every building has an accessible computer lab and printing is very cheap on campus. Everything is really quick and it helps when you need to print something quickly before a class.

There are tons of options for off-campus dinning. They have anything you could possibly want and everything is very clean. The cost very low and fits the college student lifestyle. Everything is right off-campus and easy to walk to.

Its a very homey town. Even though you may not originate from the area, it feels like home.
College Student 2013-05-20T15:18:12Z
Pretty crowded but i say thats because students really take their education serious here. dont go at peak times though. I'd say early morning or late evenings are the best times.

There have been additions to the variety. And no matter where you may be on campus, there is a dining hall of some sort close by. I wouldnt trade that for anything, seeing as how Auburn is a pretty, spread out and hilly campus.

Continue to revamp the campus with new buildings with the latest amenities
College Sophomore 2013-05-20T02:21:53Z
Auburn University is a modern, but still very traditional campus. While its buildings are beautifully built in a traditional university style, most of the buildings' (the newer ones anyway) claim modern and updated amnenities and centers.

Greek life is big, but not so big where you are bombarded with greek letters or events in your face.
College Sophomore 2013-05-19T17:15:30Z
They are building a new athletic facility for the students that is going to be amazing but its not finished yet so I can't comment too much on it
College Sophomore 2013-05-19T17:10:30Z
Computers are available at the library and at various labs around campus. Printing is charged to your Tiger account and the wireless activity is very good and reliable. Personal computers provide much help and I would recommend getting one before coming up

The dining at Auburn is okay but nothing special. I went to Uga for a visit and was completely blown away by all of their food options so when I came back to Auburn I was very disappointed in our selections at food. Don't get me wrong the food is good and is quality food but we are very very limited at our on campus dining selection compared to other schools

The town atmosphere is great! Everyone gets together to support the team even though we may not be that great!

Great bars but there are only a few. The parties at the frats are the best place to get drunk. I'm a girl so I'd rather just get free drinks at the fraternity.

They always oversell permits, so parking is a nightmare. You may get lucky if you have early classes and get on campus before 7:45am. If you have later classes, either get to campus 30-45 minutes before your class, or ride the transit. One thing I used to do when I didn't live near a transit stop, I drove to an apartment community with guest parking and parked there to catch the transit (they all have transit stops).
Recent Alumnus 2013-05-16T17:17:49Z
The tiger transits are pretty reliable. There are a ton of pick up spots, so even if you live off campus, there is likely one that picks up near you. There are even transits and the night security bus that run at night so you can study late or even go out downtown and get a ride. The only bad thing about the transit is it can get pretty crowded during the day when most people are heading to class, especially if it's a bus that picks up at a large apartment community.

There are policies but its pretty relax. They aren't uptight at all.
College Junior 2013-05-16T17:08:07Z
The sports are huge here. Everyone loves going to football games and tailgating before them. They are all pretty nice and personable with you see them around campus.

Guys & Girls:
There are all types of guys at this school. You can find your type if you are looking. There aren't as big of a variety of girls but most of them are really pretty and down to earth.

Guys & Girls:
There are tons of good-looking frat boys, unfortunately most of them think their God's gift to the earth and just party all the time while subsisting on Daddy's money. They'll charm the socks off of you but they don't know how to treat a girl. The girls (at least greeks) all dress the same with the typical nike shorts and big t-shirts, some of them can be quite stuck up depending on which sorority they're in. It's hard for Non-Greeks to interact with Greeks of the opposite sex.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
