The weather isn't great, but I think it's more of a reflection on the horrible weather of Alabama as a whole, more than what happens just Auburn.

Not very spacious at all, but great for getting to class on time.

We have some good options for food, but many are open only for lunch and many are also closed on the weekends. But, the food trucks are pretty cool.

Mellow Mushroom is the best pizza in town! There is also a Pita Pit, Jimmy Johns, Cheeburger Cheeburger, Korean BBQ, Five Guys, Gigi's Cupcakes and of course Toomer's Corner very close to campus. Also some good options in Tiger Town if you don't mind the drive.

Guys & Girls:
Friendly Southern guys and girls. The girls are really pretty. It takes a while to get used to the accent and the choice of clothing.

On campus the alcohol is not big. Drinking is generally done off campus in fraternities or housing.

SEC Football is huge. School has new head coach so excited to see how the team plays in 2013.

The Auburn/Opelika area has plenty of delicious restaurants!

Joining a sorority or a fraternity is good because it's an automatic friend base. It's also fine if you go the non-Greek route because it doesn't hurt your social life. Only 1/3 of Auburn's campus is Greek. Fraternities have houses and sororities have chapter rooms and sorority halls in the Village.

Health & Safety:
Police patrol the campus day and night. Late-night transit is offered on and off campus. And there are emergency poles placed around campus that students can press if they feel they are in danger and the police will respond.

Once again, not really into the nightlife stuff yet, so I cant answer this accurately.

I don't take drugs and don't hang with others who do, so I can't grade college or answer question accurately.

I plan on getting an internship. I am currently waiting to hear back from Southwest Airlines about their internships. I am a little nervous. But the Office of Professional and Career Development is there to answer any questions students may have and are glad to help.

Plenty to do later on in the week. Lots of different bars available and there are plenty of off campus parties going on as well. I always have a party to go to or something to do during the weekends and I'm under 21.

Computers that are un-occupied are pretty tricky to find. It makes it challenging to find an opportunity. But once you find an open computer, they are pretty quick and have the software you need.

I really like my program so far. I'm still taking some gen eds but I really like the faculty and the program. Even though the classes can be large, professors try to make themselves as available as possible and that really helps out. They all want you to do well as a student.

Permits are usually never cheap and having to find a parking space amongst traffic can be awful. The best part about Auburn is that most off-campus students just take the Transit. It picks me up right outside of my neighbor and it only takes about fifteen minutes to get the campus. It's included in tuition so it makes sense to take advantage of it.

I am a pre-Nursing major at the moment which means that I am not presently enrolled in the nursing school. I have heard that it is very competitive and grades are one of the biggest priorities. They anticipate 3.7 GPAs as the average for first-time applicants and a level of commitment in terms of volunteer work. Just work hard in classes and keep a high GPA.

Auburn has a large variety of different places to eat but college dining will always get boring after a while. They do a great job of making it simple in that off-campus student pay a certain amount and on-campus students x amount. There is Chick-fil-A and that never seems to get old, personally.

Auburn University is known for their loyal school spirit and intense pride in their football team. They play hard, study hard, and don't pretend to be better than others. They are also very bonded as fans. Auburn also offers a diversity of athletics and are currently building a brand new recreation center.

Health & Safety:
I've never felt completely unsafe on campus, but I would not run around alone at night. There are security guards around campus, sometimes. I see them from time to time. Also there are the help towers on campus where you can supposedly see three more when standing next to one, but I don't believe that to be extremely true.
College Junior 2013-02-05T01:18:53Z
There is a large variety of students from all over! Not only are there students from all over the U.S. but from the world. They are also numerous clubs an organizations on campus to cater to any students needs or personal beliefs.

We are truly a college town. With that said, we do not have shopping malls, the attractions of a city, however, the atmosphere makes up for that. We are All In, and we are apart of the Auburn Family. This bond keeps all of us together and is truly inspiring to be a part of something so big. Our athletics are great, and athletic events are free to students with the exception of football tickets. The school is constantly renovating and building new buildings, so the old ones will eventually be gone. Our academics are not to be taken lightly, they are difficult, but will definitely pay off in the long run. Our school provides unique opportunities like study abroad, which has recently become a large program. Additionally, we have a large variety of extra curricular activities and clubs to be a part of.
College Junior 2013-02-02T18:37:21Z
The professors at our school are very good as you get into higher level courses. Many of the lower level courses are taught by GTA's. Labs associated with courses will be taught by TA's. Sometimes its difficult learning with TA's because they come from a wide variety of countries. Understanding their speaking can be challenging, but this doesn't detract from their knowledge of the subject. Study options are great, our library provides a variety of free studying sessions. In addition, your department might have their own tutoring as well.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on campus. Campus security is always around and in sight. We have a security system that has notifies campus security if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. It uses blue lights that light up and you can talk into the speaker. If you are unable to talk you can run and continue to push the buttons on the poles and the police/campus security can follow you. We also have a great campus security shuttle. You don't need to walk around at night and its free. They will take pick you up and drop you off anywhere you want on campus and all you have to do is call.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
