Its great I love the professors, all of them have had experience in the real world and I would happily do it all over again. My eventual goals are to work for NASA and I feel as if the professors have prepared me well for getting a job.

All Engineering students start off in Pre-Engineering so if you change your mind on major your first year will not be wasted, and all students end with a capstone project to give them some real world experience.

Parking is definitely one of the weak points of the University. Parking passes are costly, but not necessary if you live off campus. The parking lots/decks become a free-for-all after 5pm, convenient for night library trips. Because of the size of the campus and the limited parking, they are sticklers about ticketing and fines. If coming on campus to park for classes, give yourself time to find a spot.

The school has a main transportation bus that run during the day. Their circulations go to off campus apartments, which is helpful because on campus parking is a pain. There is a security shuttle that runs at night which is also helpful, transporting students to on campus/near campus destinations.

There is a good variety and is mostly convient to campus. There are lots of good restaurants.
College Sophomore 2012-12-29T17:48:55Z
There are some great places to live. The quad is very convienent and the village is very nice. The hill isn't the best, but it is a great place for freshmen to live.

Our sports are very fun and exciting. We always have great support by the students and the Auburn family.

It is good. You have to be 19 to get in places but there is always something to do.
College Sophomore 2012-12-22T18:16:02Z
There is always something going on at Auburn, whether it is the bar scene, apartment parties, or frat parties you can find something to do almost any night of the week.

Difficult to navigate but help is easily accessible.

The tiger transit is very convenient for me because it runs by my place every ten min. As for parking during school hours is impossible without a parking pass. Walking and the transit have proven to be the best for me.
College Junior 2012-12-19T13:20:43Z
I dont have a car and live off campus. I mainly use a bike or the free transit system. So from my view you do not need a car, however, according to what my friends say parking is horrible. you have to get to campus early to get a spot. They ticket like crazy and price for places is expensive.

I am an out of state student and finding financial aid has really been a challenge. The grant from my department was taken away so i am unable to get a scholarship through my department. The University has no scholarships available to me. I've been hunting for awhile and STILL have not received a single scholarship. The University keeps recommending FASFA, but again I get nothing.

Guys & Girls:
The guys are all southern gentlemen. Your typical country boys. The majority are really attractive, but usually the attractive ones are in fraternities. The girls are all very sweet southern belles. Again the majority of the pretty ones are greek. The majority of girls and guys are in Greek life, but it is easy to find those who are not.

The process of getting into my Graphic Design major was a bit difficult. It is based on accumulative GPA and compares you to other students. That means if you have a 3.6 and everyone else is making a 3.8, you cannot get into the program. Just do your best. That's really all you can do. After that it gets much easier.
College Senior 2012-12-17T03:04:22Z
The school really does it's best to help you, but it's up to you to do the work in order to maintain the scholarship. While the school is helpful, the reason I'm giving it a "B" is because of the people at the financial aid office. They are almost always rude.

Guys & Girls:
There is a wide variety of people to choose from at Auburn. The guys I have encountered on campus have all been gentlemen so far. A lot of them seem really big on southern hospitality; it's really quite charming. The girls there are really sweet for the most part. Whatever you're into, there are people that will appeal to you.

High variety from chinese to mexican and they are very good.

It is often complete chaos and it is often hard to find a spot

I'm a Political Science major and I'm pleased with what I've been learning so far. It's not easy; I feel like this may be one of the hardest majors in the College of Liberal Arts. The teachers require a lot of reading from you but if you're interested in the information, it isn't that bad. They are literally pushing for you to use all of your brain and to think logically. It's easy to get help because your teachers want you to understand. Internship and job opportunities are numerous. There's no reason someone would not be able to find at least one they could apply for.
College Senior 2012-12-15T16:48:56Z
I plan on having an internship before I graduate. For my major and to increase my chances of getting into law school, it would be in my best interest to have one. Auburn offers many opportunities to attain an internship, which takes away the stress of trying to find one.
College Senior 2012-12-15T16:46:39Z
Getting into my major was not hard. I just spoke with my adviser, made sure to pass all my cores and was placed in it.
College Senior 2012-12-15T16:44:49Z
The political science program at Auburn is definitely rigorous. Your teachers are set out to challenge your intellect and everything you've ever said you believed in. You are pushed to think critically and logically. Everyone is very passionate in what they do and the networking is definitely there to give you the opportunity to receive an internship or future job.
College Senior 2012-12-15T16:41:00Z
Believe it or not, there are many professors that want you to succeed in their class and care more about whether or not you actually learned. They are flexible with office hours and will respond to your emails if you have questions. There are some that aren't as caring but you learn to work through their class regardless.

Greek life at Auburn is so amazing! For Fraternities, there are roughly 30 different ones and they are all amazing. There are 17 different sororities on campus as well. Sororities have special dorm housing (which is very nice!) as opposed to actual houses though. Auburn pretty much revolves around Greek life. It is a great way to get involved and be a part of something at Auburn. Being Greek gives you instant connections. The Greek GPA average is higher than the all student average on campus as well so studies are super important!
