There is a good variety of dining on campus, however, the food is expensive and of poor quality. The school requires you to purchase a dining cards. $950 if on campus, $350 if off campus. If we weren't required to purchase a plan I would never eat on campus.

I honestly don't think they ever give anyone a full ride unless you are an athlete. But all the smart people need to be rocket scientist to even get full tuition, which I don't think is right at all.

Guys & Girls:
I think Auburn girls represent prettiness in a natural way. We don't have to wear a lot of make-up but we are still pretty. Where as Alabama, they are the fake pretty girls; they wear a lot of make-up because they think its pretty. And our guys are really hot, not to mention rich :)

The parking on Auburn has alot to be desired, especially during football season when its a free for all to find a spot; even for students who PAY to go here.
College Senior 2011-04-24T20:00:31Z
The surrounding area of Auburn has a large variety of apartments, all relatively close to either campus or the Tiger Transits, and are well priced for what they include.

Campus Dorms – The dorms on campus are overall of good quality, though the quad is by far in the most useful location, close to everything on campus.

The facilities at Auburn are great. They are working on making everything more modern, but everything already feels very homey and comfortable. The Library is a great place to get work done and the available outside green space and the beautiful weather allows for a wonderful, relaxing place to study or have fun!

The computers at my school are very up to date and in good working condition. There are some computers in some labs that do not work, but they are always fixed within days. Printing on campus is also great and always available and the wireless/internet connections are always fast and reliable.

Health & Safety:
I Feel Very Safe. The safety and security on campus is great. There are night and day security gaurds, there are many safe late night transportatiob options and there are many emergency polls all over campus. Also there are many patroling police officers on the roads as well.

If there's one thing Auburn University is known for, it's our famous battle cry of "War Eagle!" during all sporting events. By far, the sport which has the largest and most spirited fan base is football where fans are referred to as "the family." Sports are a very big deal here; some people think of them as seriously as they do a religion.

Downtown Auburn offers a nice variety of dining options that will fit nicely with any college student's budget. If you're in the mood for a burger and fries, there's Cheeburger Cheeburger and Five Guys Burgers and Fries. If you're feeling more on the fancy side, Amsterdam offers many exquisite dishes, one of which is featured on the "100 Dishes in Alabama You Should Eat Before You Die." And of course, Mommma Goldburg's Deli is a favorite among the locals. Gotta have your Momma's Love! No matter what your budget or craving, Downtown Auburn is sure to have a restaurant that suits your desires.

One thing I absolutely love about Auburn is the ease I've had with making friends. I am an out of state student and I'm very shy. The Camp War Eagle session I attended over the summer really helped with me making and meeting new friends. I still keep in contact with the friends I made while I was here. If you ever apply to Auburn make sure you attend on of the Camp War Eagle sessions.

Quite and Growing Town – Auburn a quiet and growing town. There isn't much to do off campus. The campus is beautiful in the Fall and Spring because of all the beautiful vegetation. Auburn football is very big here and if you get a chance attend on of the games

financial aid office was not helpful. If you don't know what ?'s to ask they will not go the extra step. I love everything about Auburn, except their Financial aid office. You will need to research stuff on your own, so be prepared.

parking permits are reasonably priced and not difficult to recieve.

Auburn is great scholastically and socially. However, they are not helpful when it comes to helping students get scholarships. You are absolutely flying solo looking for help to pay for college.
College Senior 2011-03-09T18:17:37Z
What's a Scholarship? Auburn is not very helpful with scholarships. They just tell you each student is automatically entered but that is about it.

Guys & Girls:
The Mixture – Auburn has a diverse mix of backgrounds. From redneck to hippie to gangster, you can find it here.
College Senior 2011-03-09T18:14:46Z
Black, White, and Asian – Auburn is mostly black, white, or asian. Each group seems to be known for its own area of study. Asians are typically in math oriented courses, white are a mix, and not many blacks are in "technology" courses.

There are alot of places to live off campus. Some are cheap and others are very expensive. there is a place for everyone

Not Horrible – I've gone to the office and had some help, but for someone who doesn't know much they don't help you in a large number of options. The main help they give are loans. I did receive a small amount of a pell grant but otherwise for grant and scholarships it's been difficult trying to find everything on my own. No need to go in person to meet with someone, you can call and ask all the questions you have because that's all they will do when you get to their office.

Best School Ever – I love it here. Fall semesters are always tough with football season distracting from the studying, but always a great time. There is a lot of traditions unique to the school that makes coming here and being a part of it the best experience ever. (the warm weather compared to my N. Il. hometown is great)

Love the Campus – All the buildings are brick making the campus beautiful to walk around. It's a tight campus making it easy to get from one side to the other without needing transportation. The history behind some of the campus makes that much more enjoyable to be a part of.
College Senior 2011-01-31T05:19:01Z
Wish There Were More – I wish there were more scholarships, I've tried to apply for whatever ones exist, but there aren't many that apply to out of state students. If a student achieves a certain ACT/SAT score, there are different levels of aid given which is good for those who can achieve that. For the ones that exist, it isn't that hard to find where to apply.
College Senior 2011-01-31T05:13:11Z
Sports Are Pretty Good – SO much is available to students and especially athletes because sports are a big deal in the South. Our sports events are pretty regularly attended and there is a lot of school focus on athletics. The student recreation center is pretty mediocre at present, but a STELLAR and brand new one is being built and to be finished by the fall of 2011. IM sports are good, pretty much all clubs offer to form a team and individuals can make their own if desired.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
