College Prowler Take
Like any other college, Auburn does have to deal with the presence of drugs. Fortunately, if you’re not looking for that kind of recreation, then you probably won’t come across it. Most students cite alcohol and marijuana among the most commonly used drugs at Auburn. Caffeine and amphetamine drugs, like Ritalin and Adderall, are also common and associated with concentration. Use of cocaine is occasionally present. If you choose to take that route, then you do so at your own risk. If not, then you probably won’t come in contact with many drugs. If you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, then don’t hesitate to leave or contact someone for help, if necessary.

I have seen drugs in small amounts at fraternity parties, but I wouldn’t say that the majority of people here do drugs. Of course, there are those people who do it, but I think that the majority of people stick to drinking. That’s just what I’ve seen and what I’ve been told by others. Drugs are here, but they are not that prevalent. Not too many people choose to use them. |

A few years ago, the school did a piece on the use of drugs like Adderall, which is supposed to help you concentrate. A lot of kids use them while studying for a big test or writing a paper or something. It’s not that uncommon, and nobody really considers it as taking drugs, like, say, cocaine or something. |

It’s not that hard to avoid, but you can tell it’s there. It’s not any worse than other campuses around the country. |

I’ve never seen it. I’m sure there are things going on, but I’ve never personally seen it. I wouldn’t really consider it to be an issue unless you want it to be. |

If you do drugs on campus, then they will find you. I’ve seen it all too many times. They just aren’t tolerated. Off campus, it’s become harder and harder to find any illegal substances in the past couple of years, but if you look hard enough, you can find whatever you’re into. |
