Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The bar and club scene in Auburn is somewhat sparse, but students still enjoy going out to them. If you’re good on the dance floor, then you’ll only find a few spots that you can dance at. Tigris is one of the only clubs that offers a place to dance.

Many of the bars and clubs are similar around downtown. Only a few are open to students under 21. They also have rules pertaining to dress code and serving of liquor. However, local bands are alive and kicking in Auburn. There are many places to hear bands play, such as the Big Blue Bagel, Buffalo’s American Grill, and Bodega’s.

Partying

Most of the bars are just off campus, so if you live close to campus you can walk. Most of the nights the bars are 21 and up, but Wednesday nights are 19+. I am not 21 yet, so i dont go to the bars. The fraternities always have parties, and the frat houses are just off campus. Auburn has a night security shuttle that you can call to pick you up at night if you are around campus. Apartment parties are a little smaller, and more personable groups, and cheaper than going to the bars. Just make sure you have a DD.

Nightlife at Auburn University

Nightlife at Auburn is alot like nightlife at other big universities. Most of the bars and clubs are for ages 21 and older but there are a few that will accept 19 and older. Most all of the house parties are alot of fun and mostly houses that are greek. The best thing about nightlife at Auburn is that I always feel safe and I never have to worry about a ride back since the university provides transportation.

Tigerwalk

Now, Auburn is a little bitty town; you have to get pretty creative when trying to enjoy your free nights! They have a few bars that play music, but still allow for friendly conversation. BUT what Auburn is seriously lacking are cool, fun spots to dance the week's stress away!
