There is guest access (which in itself is lovely), student access (free printing included), and wireless networks to connect to if one owns a laptop. The networks are very reliable and rarely slow.

Health & Safety:
Augsburg has its own health center, as well as campus escorts (vehicles or persons available to drive or walk a student a safe distance to or from the college to ensure security). I feel very safe on campus.

Greek life isn't really an integral part of Augsburg College.

I'm very new to Augsburg, but so far I think the core curriculum and major declaration process is well-structured and helpful.

It is highly recommended that one does not use a car on campus, as one does not require it. The college is very connected and the area is easy to explore on foot or by bus. Permit costs are expensive and limited; parking spaces are hard to find...it is much more convenient if one does not drive at all.

I've never had an internship, but I do plan to have one. I think the internship process at Augsburg is almost a staple in the Augsburg experience, and it is wise to pursue one. Since I have delcared my major to be Psychology, an internship is necessary as part of my core curriculum, and I look forward to it junior or senior year.

I've just recently started my first semester at Augsburg, but I think the program designed to help students earn credit to achieve a degree is very well done, and the Augsburg staff are always kind, courteous and helpful. I look forward to earning my degree with the help of Augsburg College.
My declared majors are Psychology and German, and although that may change, I'm excited to see where it takes me. I've talked to a few seniors who have said they don't know what they're going to do after college, but Augsburg has many internship and occupational opportunities to ready their students for the working world. With a Psychology major it is oftentimes difficult to find legitimate vocational opportunities, but I can always study more, and I'm hoping a German major will help with that. So far, so good -- no concerns. I'll worry when I'm closer to graduation.

Health & Safety:
The college is generally safe within the campus perimiters although the surrounding neighborhood is a bit scetchy. I always feel safe on-campus because the public safety police are available and offer escorts when you call for one. Precautionary personal safety measures like locking your doors and keeping an eye on your property should be taken because there are instances of theft that happen on campus.

As a student of color myself, I have high regard for the diversity at Augsburg. All races, ethnicities, religions, creeds, political beliefs, sexual orientations, income levels, and endeavors are respected, appreciated, nurtured and fostered at Augsburg. It's a school of inclusion, with it's teachings grounded in spirituality, inclusivity, and embracing world views. I have never not felt accepted on this campus, as well I feel always receptive to the new and different.

As a student in the Masters program, no scholarships were available to me, and the school did not off me any help in finding outside ones. They were however instrumental in helping me select the most appropriate student loans to meet my needs and future financial obligations.

As a student in the MAN program I feel fortunate to have very knowledgeable and compassionate educators who genuinely care that their students learn and can apply knowledge acquired. This is truly an excellent program for committed adults who want to pursue advanced degrees in nursing.

it's good selection and a lot of food, unfortunately it gets old sometimes

The police are lenient and provide good safety for those who need a ride late at night who don't want to walk the city. They also wont bust you for drinking if you need a ride or are in danger alcohol poisoning

The school has an einstein bros. and a secondary 'restaurant', nabo cafe, that is solid food however a tad overpriced (4 bucks for a burger type of stuff) and the cafeteria itself (the one where meal plans are bought at) is abysmal.

The buildings are really nice, especially the newer ones like Oren Gateway Center. It is beautiful and spacious, just expensive.

The chemistry department is full of very knowledgeable teachers that are more than willing to help the student in and out of class. The classes themselves are very demanding but are really engaging and interesting.

I began in the Elementary Education program at Augsburg which is a phenomenal program. The professors are extremely flexible and very well educated. The workload has been challenging but not impossible. The professors have done well at setting forth expectations the first night of class and were easy to get in contact with outside of classroom and even scheduled office hours.

Augsburg is located right off of the freeway, making commuting easy. It is also located centrally to both the bus and light rail systems. The public transportation is an extremely affordable option as student's can get transportation passes at a discounted rate and they can be purchased with financial aid funds!

I like the buildings because there is a variety of architectural styles. Some buildings are more modern while others are more classic. One unique thing about Augsburg is the opportunities afforded to adults like me who have children and work full-time. Their Augsburg for Adults program makes it easy for non-traditional students to get their college degree while still being able to support their families financially and emotionally.

Augsburg's Campus is relatively small and buildings are easy to locate. There is a wonderful sense of community because of the limited size of the campus. It is located close to the University on Minnesota and downtown which makes finding places to eat and interesting activities easily accessible. The buildings, while old, are well maintained and clean and the fitness center is a wonderful place to get in shape!

Love this college! Intellectually stimulant and dynamic.

There are many places to go that are nearby where one can eat and hangout with friends which is nice when you are trying to find a place between classes.

It's Minnesota and there weather is always changing one day to another. The college does a great job at trying to keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

There are many places to use computers provided by the college. My favorite place is the Linux lab where all the computers are running the Linux/Ubuntu operating system.

I entered college undecided and unclear. If I could, I would redo everything and try to start taking courses, within my major, right away so that I would be able to take as many classes, related to my major, as I could. But I am happy. It didn't take me very long to figure out my major and design my four year plan. In fact I found that I could double major because many courses, not only were within my interest range but also filled in for my major requirements for both majors. But because life isn't perfect, I will find myself facing problems as I get closer to graduation.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
