There are a lot of different ethnicities in this area, although Somalians predominate. A lot of metrosexual guys too so I guess it's pretty diverse around here.

Coming in to my freshman year here at Augsburg, I was aware the college had a reputation of being one of the more diverse schools in the area. Not only did I see diversity promotions in the schools propaganda, but students who I knew also commented on it very frequently. After being at school for a short time, I noticed that these rumors were completely true. I can actually say that I have met people (students and staff) that are from completely opposite ends of the spectrum. Aside from the campus being very diverse, I also feel that everyone fits in at Augsburg. There is a very big sense of community on campus and although not everyone may be from the same racial, economic, or political background, we are able to look past our differences and learn from one another.

At school, we have a very diverse population not only racial, but religions and sexual orientation. Augsburg college welcomes everyone into the school with open arms and is willing to learn about new culture and new practices. We are very diverse in culture along with sexual orientation. Augsburg is definitely a pro choice school and many of our staff and students are homosexual. I think that it is really awesome that we can all come together to learn and worship at Augsburg together and become a well rounded, diverse community.

We have a ice amount of diversity but there is always room for improvenment, students on campus are still unaware of some cultural differences and may have a lack of knowledege on how to bridge the gap.

As a student of color myself, I have high regard for the diversity at Augsburg. All races, ethnicities, religions, creeds, political beliefs, sexual orientations, income levels, and endeavors are respected, appreciated, nurtured and fostered at Augsburg. It's a school of inclusion, with it's teachings grounded in spirituality, inclusivity, and embracing world views. I have never not felt accepted on this campus, as well I feel always receptive to the new and different.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
