Some of the teachers at this school act like they don't want to be there which can be very frustrating at times. There aren't many of them, but I have come across a few. The other staff is very helpful and I have learned a lot so far.
there is a very diverse group of students in the school. most of them also work or have families to take care of. so they understand what everyone else is going through.

The school is smaller so it does not offer as many classes but there is always something available. The staff is quite helpful too if there are any issues you may experience

At aultman college everyone is very friendly. There is such a great atmosphere I enjoy going to school. This is a smaller school which means that every teacher knows you. You are not just another face in a crowd.

There is not much flexibility offered for classes, with only a few time slots to pick from, no evening classes offered making it difficult to work full time and attend classes.

The computer network is usually pretty good but there are times when I student is taking a test and gets kicked off the computer and the student get penalized, no exceptions made. It is not fair and very, very frustrating, making it hard for a student to be successful.

The college does not have a book store so you order all your books online. The college does have a very nice Logo store with clothing and a large supply of snacks and drinks, also the store supplys blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, along with other medical supplies and other useful things (paper, notebooks, pencils, study guides...etc.) If the store does not carry something that I student needs, than there is a suggestion jar and the product is usually in by the following week.

A typical student is probably in their late 20's or early 30's but there are a mix of different ages. Most are already involved in the health field in some way and few are making a career change. Mostly all are working class people. Many students like to buddy up with someone or like to use study groups but most are working at a different level. The curriculum is tough and some do not succeed, they either get kicked out or the fail out, not keeping up a certain GPA.

The facilitie has a small workout center here in the hospital that students are allowed to use. The college recently built a new chemistry lab. The college has a very nice library with many resources and other quiet study areas for student to choose from. The college offers activities for student to become involved in and actually has a student activity coordinator who is very involved with the college and the students.

I love the convience of online courses. I don't have to drive anywhere and I can work at my own pace, given deadline dates and due dates. The only thing is that the interaction is little to none but you can communicate with emails and discussion boards. The workload seems to be harder than what you would have to do in the traditional classroom. For some this is not a good experience but I believe if you are good with the computer than you would prefer online verses classroom experience. I feel that the registration process was a little difficult but once you understand how it all works, it's not so bad. I feel I do better with online learning than the traditional classroom setting.

less students make it easier to work with teachers one on one.

It's a hospital and they like to hire from within and the LRC has a list of hospitals that hire ADN RNs

It's a small school so there aren't very many activities but student life figures things out for us to do

I like aultman. There are many different kinds of students at Aultman. Old young and of all ethnicities. The professors are always there to help you if needed and the LRC is open for tutoring. There is also online tutoring available.

The classes aren't very flexable, they aren't offered at different times of day. They are admitting to many students for the faculty that they have.

The people at my school are of many different kinds of people. Young to old, different ethnicity, religions, and sex. Although the male population is much smaller we have a good amount of men. Talking in class is about the most I have done with other students and have spoke to very few outside of class. Making friends isn't a priority of mine my goal is focusing on school.

The professors are available outside of the class which is good. The registration process is improving, but need more work. There is also the library and LRC that offer materials to help people who have different learning styles. The LRC tests studeent's to see what is the best way they learn which I have found to be very helpful.

The lecture's aren't always nursing specific. Some times the instructors don't talk about class related information. Most of the instructors are well educated and very helpful. The clinicals are the best part because we get to do them in the hospital.

It can be flexible for the most part. The school is kinda small so there are only so many classes offered at so many times.

Most of my school consists of working-class people with full time jobs and family's. It seems like everyone at Aultman juggles a lot of things but still manages to have a good attitude. There are a lot of people there without family's also that are in there late teens or early 20's.

Student Services Entry to Exit from Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences – This is one of the most comprehensive programs around the stark county area. One of the best programs there are to experience. They make sure they provide the best in trainning as well as assistance in any area of need that a student may have in regards to education, employment and future career goals.

Transfer Success – Upon entering into the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences school of nursing; I had no problems with my credits being accepted from the degree of bachelor's in psychology that I had just earned. The process was smooth, the office staff were warm, understanding and inviting to questions and concerns that I had about my enterance.
