Parking can be terrible at times, but the biggest problem you can run into is not being able to find a parking spot and receiving a ticket for not parking in the right spots, and campus safety just waits for you to do that.

You have plenty of options on places to live off campus. the only problem you will run into is parking problems. If you show up at the right time you can park right on campus or on the street next to campus, but if you show up at the wrong times you can end up parking up to a couple blocks away.

Printing in the Labs – It is usually hard to print in the computer lab in the morning and right before night classes because of the amount of people trying to take care of there home work right before class. There being three of them defiantly does help with that. Another problem you can run into is that at some points during the day 2 of the 3 labs will have classes in them so you just have to know when the classes are in them so you don't have to walk across campus when you are in a hurry.

No Tolerance – AU does not tolerate any drug or alcohol use while under age. Smoking cigarettes is only allowed on the outside of the campus, if of age. Other than that the college is really strict.

Sports Are High – Sports at AU are highly accepted and supported. The faculty is highly involved and loves our sports, as well as the students.

I believe there is a variety of different races at AU, and coming from a largely populated white school I think there are a lot of different students. I feel there are a lot of blacks, latinos, and whites. It is a mix.

Though I know it exists, I was never made aware of how to join or what is all involved in joining the greek system. You wouldn't know they existed unless you sought them out. In the student lounge area there is also mail box-like cubbies that have the names of the Greek houses on them.

Biology Major – It's really hard to be a biology major. The program is relatively small so you get stuck with the same teachers over and over again which would be good if some of the teachers were not evil. The workload is nearly impossible to keep up with and the professors forget that students have other classes and responsibilities.

Off-Campus Situation – honestly, i know nothing about the off-campus situation. i commute and both living on campus and or close to campus was never brought to my attention or explained to me

George Williams Campus Is Uniques – The GWC is a unique campus nestled on the Geneva lake in Williams. Being a part of the Aurora University is good but GWC gives you a unique college experience. It has a large non traditional base. The campus gives you a lot of hands opportunities and you really get to know everyone that is on campus. The academic programs are you unique because we have small class sizes. You get to interact with the professors on a daily bases inside and outside the class room. Staff and Faculty participate in activities for student life.

Health & Safety:
I am at the Wisconsin campus and you really know all the safety officers. There are two hospitals very close by to the campus. I would say though that they are small town hospitals so not always the best care. The campus is extremely safe. The campus safety officers knows who everyone is that live on campus and keep an eye out for anything that is out of the ordinary.

Everything Close by – Very large variety of eating establishments close to campus.

There are a number of small parking lots scattered around the campus, key word being small. Of course, parking is available on the majority of surronding street, but this makes them crowded and almost too narrow at times. If you prefer to park in a lot, you have to pay $25 twice a year. Finding a spot can be a nightmare unless you have an 8 a.m. class. The key to finding a spot for the later class is getting there when the classes before you get out, so about ten minutes early. Then you can circle, basically trolling for people walking to their cars. Park just out of their way and throw on your turn signal to stake a claim. With a little luck you should get a spot this way.

Buses Great – Public transportation is great. There is a bus stop right in front of the University. Also the cost of the bus is not expensive.

Guys & Girls:
I Am Not Interested – I am here to learn and don't really pay much attention. I don't really see many people when I am there.

Greek Life – The Frats/Sororities are all of campus. They dont really have a real presence or seem to add to school spirit. I personally have never heard of any of the events that they hold but it they really just aren't a bid deal. No Greek Week, Mixers, or exchanges. Pretty Lame.

Not so attractive in my eyes. I'm not a Mid West/country girl so maybe its a little hard for me to be objective but everyone pretty much looks the same to me. And its not only that I dont find the young men unattractive physically the people in general just lack complete intellect. They all seem to have this sheltered way of thinking. No one is really interesting.

No Greek Life, No (Good) Parties, No Diversity – If you attend Aurora University for the academics (ie Nursing or Education Programs) and you want mostly just get good grades and earn your degree then you have picked a good school. Most people want the true college expierience (rush week, freshmen 15, and great social events) when they leave for school. Aurora just is not that way. The greek organizations are all off campus and dont really have much presence in the school. The parties are nothing special. Just standing and drinking mostly. People don't really socialize to get to know others or really dance or do anything to make them fun. No Rush Week. No Homecoming Events. DRY CAMPUS. (No alcohol). The people are all pretty much from Illinois or from the Midwest. You have a few from California (myself), Colorado, Arizona, and Seattle. But most people leave after the semester or the year. The return rate for freshmen is pretty low and you just don't get the true college expirience. After the year I plan on returning to California and attending another school. Everyone is either Black or White and there arent really that many interesting people. They have this kind of sheltered way of thinking and are fairly prejudice.

Just not my scene – Aurora is extremely small and the people are very different from the ones i normally encounter. Coming from the West Coast I expected it to be very different which it has been. It is nice on one hand because you get to know alot of people but everyone knows one another which makes it impossible to escape the people you do not like. I have found that most of the people are very ignorant and just too country for my liking. There is not a whole lot to do on campus and not really a whole lot to do off campus. Lots of people leave after the first semeseter and even more leave after the year. I plan on leaving after the year and returning to California and attedning San Diego State. It is not a bad school necessarily the people are just not for me. And you don't really get the typical college expierience. It's like you you miss out on alot.

Nothing to Worry About – Aurora University has a pretty small campus. It is a couple minute walk to anywhere on campus. The neighborhood is nice and quiet.
College Senior 2010-11-17T00:57:56Z
I love how the school is on the small side and you get to know everyone. There is a little hangout place called "The Spot" and people eat and play games and watch movies together. It is a nice place for people who live on campus and commuters to hang out and do what they want.
College Senior 2010-11-17T00:18:53Z
Aurora has some frats but they are not that big of a deal. There are two or three girl ones and two or three guy ones. They do a lot of community services and help everyone.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
