Alcohol and drug use are basically nonexsistant on campus.

I come from a predominately white town and was surprised at the number of minorities that attend Aurora considering it's also in the suburbs. Every one is very accepting though, and it's interesting to get point of views from people with different backgrounds.

There is a separate counselor for each major, which is nice. The counselor is very helpful when it comes down to picking classes. They are very knowledgeable.

There is plenty of different off-campus housing available. I'm not sure what the quality is like.

From what I've heard Aurora University enjoys their sports. I haven't personally been to any sport events but I am just starting at the school.

In the city of Aurora there are plenty different places to eat off campus. You can usually find a place to eat no matter you're in the mood for.

At George Williams College parking is great right in front of the buildings and it is free... on campus there is no need for a car but you would definitely need a car or buddy up with someone that does to leave campus though.

At George Williams College the campus is beatuiful and you can hang out by the lake. Most students hangout in the dorms or they go down to the college inn.

Health & Safety:
That I know of there has been no crime at George Williams College. The campus is extremely safe.

George Williams College is a really good school the classes are small, the food, is great everyone is relatively friendly, the lake as well as the campus is beautiful, and the classes are a really a hands on feel in letting you now how you can really use the lessons in life. the only negative part is that the school is just starting to enroll freshmans so its a really small school but that should change over time. the good part about GWC being small though is that the students have a real say into what goes on in the school they can make a difference.

Aurora University is crazy about just about everything. Mandatory attendance at classes, strict no drinking rules, and lots of other pointless rules galore at AU.

You need a car to get around the Aurora area. Unless you plan to strictly stay on campus, you need a car.

I love the school. Tuition is reasonable and all of the teachers are top of the line. There's a lot to do around campus and it isn't far from anything within the community like shopping, food or activities.
College Junior 2013-05-29T02:40:15Z
The area attractions are limited to the river, a couple of museums, Paramount Theater and the casino. None of these attractions are in walking distance. There is also no bus service on Sunday, making it difficult to get to places of worship without a car. Shopping is a close walk (about a half mile from the campus).

Excellent diversity including ethnic, religious and sexual orientation acceptance and activities.
College Junior 2013-05-29T02:13:03Z
Food and dining options are excellent. There is a variety of foods from ethnic to traditional to vegan to choose from. The food is reasonably priced for those students and guests that do not utilize the meal plans. The downsides are the hours of availability, especially during May term, and the changes they are planning for the sandwich shop (being converted to a convenience store style).

Guys & Girls:
There seems to be an equal amount of guys and girls at AU. The general style and look of AU students is relaxed sweats or sports wear. Some people where the typical jeans and t-shirt while you might see the occasional business attire for presentations. The general interest of the student body is football and lacrosse.

The quality of academics is reflected on the quality of teachers and staff; and they have a great staff in the School of Business. The professors are extremely knowledgeable, the curriculum is relevant to today's work world, the registration process is easy, workload is only stressful if you have more than one exam in a week; so midterms and finals.
College Senior 2013-05-24T19:32:27Z
I'm not too invested in the computers at AU since I have my own. I know of only 3 labs on campus, but I'm sure there's more, printing is pretty unlimited, the network is very reliable and fast, love the wireless access; and it's guarded so you have to be a student or staff member to log into it. I love my own computer because I can go anywhere to do my work, sometimes, during free lab hours, the labs can get really rowdy.

I love the accouting program at Aurora University. We have multiple CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) on staff who can give us real, accurate knowledge about accounting today. The workload is not horrible for accounting classes; we'll have problems to work through but no papers :) The curriculum is up to date, facilities are a little old but they don't influence our environment to the point where we can't learn. Internships are greatly influenced by how much you're invested in the program; teachers give great recommendations based on that.

No real parties on campus, the bars and clubs are pretty decent with $0-$5 for a cover charge, don't really know much about the underage nightlife, the pace bus system has limited hours; not sure about their nighttime schedule
College Junior 2013-05-22T20:13:33Z
Off-campus housing at Aurora University is fairly average. There seems to be plenty of places available near the campus. Good pricing and for the most part, a good neighborhood.
College Junior 2013-05-18T01:45:46Z
There are a lot of restaurants really close to campus and have reasonable prices. Most are five minutes away and easy to get to.
College Junior 2013-05-18T01:41:49Z
There are not many parties on-campus because they are not really allowed so people go off campus to party. Usually a house off campus is the best place to go, but it has to be where they can keep the noise level down so the police do not come. There is usually a designated driver that will not drink so they can drive everyone back to campus.
College Junior 2013-05-18T01:37:22Z
The cafeteria food is alright sometimes. The Spartan Spot is a better choice it has more options. La Carte is if you want to get a snack because you have to go to class.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
