Aurora University works hard to provide education to individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, etc. The tuition is reasonable and allows for people of all backgrounds to attend classes and attain a college education. I love it! The diversity allows for insightful and thought-provoking class discussions with my peers!

If you have an early class chances are you will get a space in the parking lot. If you have a later class you'll end up parking in the street in the residential neighborhood.

I have just been accepted into the Nursing Program for the Fall of 2013. My career goal is to first receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then possibly continue on to Physician's Assistant.

I haven't held any type of internship at all because I also work part-time.

The strictness level on campus is pretty high. Students caught with illegal substances can either be expelled or severely punished.
College Sophomore 2013-03-23T16:00:03Z
Drugs and alcohol are present at this school, but there are strict rules and punishments enforced for those that decide to break the rules. As a commuter, I do not feel the pressure to drink or participate in illegal behaviors.

Parking is not too terrible. The parking permit cost is reasonable. It is only $25 for the whole year. Parking spots fill up quickly though, so those who have class after 8:00am usually have a hard time finding somewhere to park.

There are drugs and alcohol at this school like every school but they do enforce it very well and your not judged if you don't drink or do them.

I don't have a car on campus this year but I always see that parking is good. However, there are no camera in the parking lots just an officers occasionally patrolling. therefore don't leave things in your car that are valuable and don't have any enemes.

I don't really use the computers at Au because I have a laptop. The internet has been rough this year because they are constantly trying to fix it. It usually doesn't work well after 9pm at night in my dorm building. The printers work well and the labs open til 2am and you can take out a laptop in the library if you want to work somewhere by yourself.

There are alot of things to do if you stay on campus. We have intermurals and everything. They have alot of activities posted and alot of fun things to do. However sometimes on the weekends that hangout places are closed at 12 therefore those days that you want to stay up late there nothing really to do.

My school is very average fro my major. If I was a nursing or Education major my grade would be higher because those programs are very good within my school. The food is alright depending on the day and the athletics here are great for some programs and others it can bevery challenging to get it.

Aurora is a very calm town, and it is a very safe place. But you are only a 40 minute train ride away from Chicago. Chicago is an amazing city. There is always something to do. If you don't have a car you have to find someone who is willing to take you to the train station, which isn't very far from campus, but still.

Network works well, but it really sucks in dorms. Constantly trying to fix it cause even more network problems

You can find off-camus housing very easily, but you have to look for it yourself. Generally rent is very easy to pay, especially if you live with roommates, but it is definitely a lot cheaper than living on campus. There rarely is parking for people who do have parking permits, much less for commuters. The neighborhood is really safe. If you are commuting you will definitely need a car if you want to move freely.

A few restaurants in walking distance, many further with transportation.

I love that the school is located in a neighbor hood because it feels like home and provides a safe environment.

I love the athletics and wish i could be able to participate in them!

I hate the food on campus its usually the same things every week. Not alot of variety and most of the time the food is poorly prepared and hard or cold.
College Sophomore 2013-02-21T17:34:38Z
Are sports are a big thing at our school we have alot of athletes on campus and the newer sports we have welcome anyone to play if you talk to a coach which is usually very easy to get in contact with. Just because sports is a big thing doesn't mean non athletes can't be friends with athletes.

The only thing that is really annoying is that if something goes bad in your building and no one fesses up to you EVERYONE in the building has to pay to fix it. We have NO cameras anywhere therefore in the freshman dorms and sometimes the parking lots alot gets damaged.

Everyone is pretty good looking. There are people of all sorts of looks and types. In general everyone is really easy to get along with and have their own sense of charm.

There is a $25 dollar a year cost to park on campus but that isn't bad. Parking fills up fast.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
