They have a lot of athletics which is good. Good teachers most of the time.

There are plenty of houses in the area you can rent.

I think this school has very good facilities. They are friendly.

I have been very satisfied with my teachers and the course load we have at school.

The faculty is very friendly and helpful to the students.

Not any bars or clubs walking distance from the school. You would need a car to drive the few miles into the downtown area where you would find night life.

Not very efficient. Although I received a decent amount of financial aid. The process to get the aid however required frequent calls and follow ups with the advisors to get everything processed correctly.

If you are over 21 the only fun is going off campus to the bars or something. For under 21 bonfires are fun.

There is always room at the computer labs and when using the computers on campus there isn't any problem. I only find problems when trying to connect my lab top to the WiFi. Then the internet is unreliable. Randomly it will disconnect or make me re-log in to the WiFi, sometimes causing my computer to freeze.

I received a good amount of scholarships, but when having questions about financial aid it was hard to get in contact with my financial aid councilor to get answers. Or I would be contacted back at strange hours with answers to questions I did not ask.

There are a lot of rentals near AU. Many are reasonable. If you live in the immediate neighborhood, you can be reprimanded by the school for parties & neighborhood complaints. The neighbors sometimes aren't fond of college students living near them.

Full time faculty are wonderful. Adjuncts can be good or bad.

Health & Safety:
The campus nurse is wonderful. They host vaccination clinics in the fall. Campus safety makes the Camus very comfortable even at night. I never really feel unsafe.

I can generally find a spot after driving around for a bit. However, if you're there in the morning (before lunch) plan to come 15-20 minutes early.

I am a senior year social work program, and I love AU. I started there as a freshman and in my social work classes I have been challenged to consider my values. The teachers are generally accessible to help when you're having problems in class or internships. The full time faculty are wonderful. We have had some adjunct professors that were questionable.

There are some pretty good scholarships that are offered, especially for transfer students. However, it is still difficult to afford it. If I were not a commuter and did not have free rent at home, I would not be able to come to AU.

Since over 70% of the students are commuters, there is not really a need to be super strict because most of the wild parties and such are off campus. Overall, the police force does not have a huge presence because its presence is not needed.

The food is not the best, but it the cost is pretty reasonable. Commuters should stay away from the dining hall because it costs quite a bit. Sure, it is all-you-can-eat, but probably not the best deal. The Spot offers great options with a variety of prices, too. Also, the Spot has really flexible hours!

Health & Safety:
I never feel unsafe on campus! Campus safety is always around. I lost my phone a few weeks ago, and someone took it to campus safety, which made the recovery of my phone very simple and not stressful.

I'm a Religion and Business in Commerce double major. Both majors have been doing really well. The Religion major at the school is actually very small so you really get to know the professors and students on a personal level, and they're all really cool! I've had about the same experience with the Business Department, except that it's much bigger. The professors are so willing to work with the students if there are any problem. They truly understand that the students are human beings and need a little encouragement and fun!

There are tons and tons of computers on campus! There are at least four computer labs that I can think of right now, in addition to the library loaning out laptops for in-library use. Those computer labs are equipped with two working printers each as well as lab attendants (most of the time) to help with any problems. There is another place on campus called "The Spot" which has four or five really night flatscreen monitors. These are open to students, but they are not hooked up to any printers. Connectivity is usually not a problem, the routers were just recently updated. Labs are busy right before class begins however, but not so much so that it's impossible to get a computer if you need one.

The school is relatively small and does not require any transportation around campus. Walking from one end of the campus to the other takes maybe five minutes. I have seen some people use skateboards and such, but it's really not necessary.

Transporation Stinks – this is mostly a commuter school if you dont have a car or a friend to take you you are having a problem

Its a College – Its a typical D3 college. There are always parties to go to and are rarely restrictions on who gets in.

The punishments are extremely lenient and I have never worried about getting caught for something.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
