They don't have that many options but it's enough to change what you eat everyday. Also there are several different places near the campus to go out to eat that are walking distance from the campus.

They are very helpful when you need it. I had a slight issue with my financial aid but the financial aid office people we're very helpful.

It easily accommodates military students. It is the best reasonably priced school that has a computer science degree completely online.

The police force is very strict when it comes to drugs and drinking on campus, but when it comes to a "riot" or a pickett fence party outside the university's main building, there is little done.

Spaces fill up easy so if you have later classes this could be a issue.

Austin Peay is wonderful colleg to attend. The Professors are always helpful. If you need extra help one can get free tutoring which can help ones gpa. Overall, I enjoy going to school here.

Austin Peay Is Very Selfish They Are Taking Your Money And Building New Dorms (Even Though We Already Have Like 8) and A New Football Stadium (For The Team That Only Won 1 Game This Year). They Could Care Less About The Students Needs All Of My Financial Aid Came From The State.

It Gets EXTREMELY Cold And Ice Covers The Ground But Classes Rarely Get Cancelled.

We live in Tennessee where the weather is constantly switching from short and t shirts weather to heavy coats and scarves weather. After a while of going back and forth students tend to get colds or sick. It's not that the University can really help and change the weather, but this is a factor that future students should be aware of.

The library computers are great for (mostly) whatever you need as long as it's just typing a paper or doing online assignments. In contrast, the computers in the science departments are phenomenal. There are large Macs with enough power to do large computations and run long programs. The computer science department's computers are just Dells, but they're newer and a brand new computer science department is being erected at the moment (with what I assume will be new computers).

Honor code is enforced very heavily. Law enforcement on campus is fairly laid back as long as you're not doing anything obviously illegal or being a hassle. If anything does go on law enforcement is there right away and deals with it in a quick manner.
College Sophomore 2013-02-06T15:25:04Z
There's only really fast food places on campus. With the exception of maybe Einstein's Bagels and Blondie's, you're only going to be eating fast food or typical cafeteria foods.

I received only the Hope Scholarship (given out by the state to everyone for a 21+ACT). Apparently my family makes just enough money to receive nothing else, even though I'm struggling.

Mainly only bars. Parties are held frequently but only if you know people. The Coup is a great place to go for music and arts if you're into that. Other than that, there's not much if you're under 21.

The main place everyone eats is called the grill. There they offer burger and fry options, mexican food options, and chick-fil-a. There are also a Einsteins Bagels and Starbucks on campus which are very clean and good. Then there is the cafeteria which serves supposedly "homecooked" meals. It isnt very good. Oh, and there is also a subway which is not very clean and is not good. Everytime I have eaten there I have been sick.

Austin Peay has an amazing science department. The professors are extremely helpful, nice, and easy to talk to. If you are dedicated to your field of study, the curriculum isn't hard at all. Plus, you get to choose how many hours you are taking so if you think you're classes are to hard you have the option to let one go. Also, if you do this by a certain date, it will not count against you. The registration process is fairly simple and there are people willing to help you if you do not understand. In fact, they have incoming students meet with the advisors before they come to school and each semester after that. In addition to the great teachers and managable workload, the university offers multiple study abroad opportunities for many areas of study.

My major is chemistry. My classes are lots of fun. I have a lecture where my teachers have included activities and demonstartions about particular things we are studying. My homework is online and isn't hard at all, but there is alot. We don't usually have in class homework. The tests are difficult, but easy to comprehend if you pay attention in class. The teachers are very helpful and encourage you to come see them during office hours. The science building is huge. It is very clean and accomidating to those with dissablities. If you go to a teacher and explain your interest in a certain field or work opportunity they'll help you to the best of their abilities figure out how to get you there.

Parking is atrocious and the number one complaint from students at Austin Peay. Many students carpool simply to avoid the trouble. If you have a parking pass, you can still only park in certain areas and they're always full. If you have to park, get to the school really early or about 30 minutes before your class.
College Junior 2013-02-01T23:39:10Z
The teachers and staff have really set Austin Peay apart from other colleges to me because of the professors. They are incredibly nice and helpful and go above and beyond to take care of their students. The growth of the school has really allowed the school to make some amazing renovations and keep the school updated and 'green'. Then the variety of degrees and classes help students get a well rounded and interesting education.

Clarksville is a growing city with quite a bit to offer. It has a decent amount of shops and restaurants, varying from large corporations to family owned. The military base nearby provides a very mixed population and a wide variety of housing and apartment options. The convenience of Nashville only being 45 minutes away really attracts people to the area and provides a wider set of options for the weekend. However, outside of a few clubs, there seems to be not much to do outside of campus events in Clarksville itself.
College Junior 2013-02-01T23:25:24Z
The Austin Peay campus is beautiful and welcoming. Several educational buildings are newly build such as the Sundquist center, with its amazing skylight ceiling and spiral staircase. The campus offers the professional but friendly enviroment that people expect. The Foy Center is loved by the students and the library is perfect for studying. The variety of places to eat has improved really well recently and the new dorms look really nice. The only downfall is the campus events don't really appeal to a wide variety of students.

Upper-class residents have the best deal when it comes to parking as we have not only our dorm's lots but a large separate lot across the street. Freshmen have to fight for parking in smaller lots (Blount and Sevier share a lot). Commuters have horrible odds of getting a spot unless you show up about 7am and don't leave your spot until you leave for the day. Getting a spot after 7 becomes a game of chance.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
