The housing at Ave Maria is very good. While the girls' megadorms are newer than the boys' dorms, all of the buildings are relatively new and kept in excellent condition. The rooms are typically very spacious and well-furnished. Furthermore, all the dorm halls have a computer room on each floor, which makes it easy for the residents to find a computer anywhere. Each of the dormitories also has a laundry room, and there is no cost to use the washers and dryers here, making it incredibly easy (and affordable) for students to do their laundry. Every dormitory also has RAs and RDs who rent out cleaning supplies, movies, and games to the residents.
As far as roommates are concerned, the girls can have between one and three, while the guys’ dorms are mostly doubles. All the rooms have private bathrooms, and there are upperclassman suites available that house six to eight people. All in all, the dorms at Ave Maria are in excellent condition and are a good deal. Most students also appreciate that the dorms and classrooms are in close proximity; the distance between the two is a 10-minute walk, at most. The on-campus housing, without a doubt, is one of the best aspects of Ave Maria student life.
