Averett offers many undergrad courses. I went to their open house at the Roanoke Higher Ed and spoke with their representative who was very helpful. She has been staying in touch with me and providing me with lots of information. She has been easy to get a hold of and answers all my questions in a timely manner. I don't start my curriculum until Oct 28 so I can't answer yet about how the workload is.

I am obtaining my Bachelor in Business Administration through Averett's accelerated learning program. I like that they offer either a class or online course. You just take one class at a time and you only meet once a week. This is great for a full time working mother of two kids.

I am taking accelerated learning classes at the Roanoke Higher Ed. I am not at the Averett Campus.

We are supposed to have "quiet hours" at Averett, starting at 10PM on weekdays and 12AM on weekends. That doesn't happen here. On my hall (a girls hall), especially on the weekends, there are usually at least 20 people (mostly men) in the hallway. Music is blaring, people are running up and down the hall banging on doors and screaming, and most of the time these people are drunk. All of this happens during "quiet hours" which is for students like me that uses this time to sleep, do homework, or study.

As a past vegetarian, I have to say that the dining hall is a bit disappointing. The "vegetarian" section is usually just vegetables or some sort of veggie stir fry with meat. They rarely have tofu, and when they do you can tell that they do not know how to cook it. I understand that I am in a southern university, but vegetarians need plenty of protein. I have to have 55 grams and I haven't been getting it here. I ended up getting really sick and had to go to the hospital; it turned out it was because I wasn't getting enough protein and I had to go back to being a pescatarian.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
