World Class Professors – I had two years of college experience before coming to APU, and have had plenty of experience with all types of professors. Easy professors, hard professors, lazy professors, and friendly professors. The professors at APU are very well educated, friendly, and helpful. They make difficult college classes bearable and sometimes even fun, and help you get the most out of the class.

Terrible Help – I have numerous problems with financial aid for this school for two semesters in a row. No one really helps you out when it comes to taking care of an owing balance.

Extremely Chaotic – Parking in between both campuses is ridiculous. There's always traffic after chapel, and finding a spot before or afterwards is virtually impossible.

Communications is a very interesting field to dive into. The learning curriculum here at APU is a little bit difficult though, in terms of the theology classes in general.

I Still Love Math – My major choice was Mathematics. Ever since I was younger I have always been good with numbers and equations and since I have been at Azusa Pacific University I have done nothing but further my knowledge in the field that I love. It definitely is still an up and coming Math and Physics department but if I had to go back I would not have changed my college choice.

Parking is not that bad actually. Azusa Pacific is a growing school but parking is not a problem just make sure you have the correct permit so you do not get a parking ticket. Permits are 100 dollars a term and are good all term. I believe that is super cheap because I know some schools who charge 300+ a term.

The Campus Is Amazing – The campus at Azusa Pacific University have been undergoing renovation and I must say it has paid off. There is two campuses an East and a West and they are both equally amazing. The two newest building are Innovative and sheik. On West the new Math/Biology and Chemistry Building is astonishing with an indoor pond with turtles and fish its cool to sit down relax and study and watch the fishes swim. And on East Campus the new Wynn building, which is mainly for Social Work, Psychology and sociology classes are, is a 3 story marvel with an elevator as well as 5 stairwells in different areas. It also has a very tranquil studying environment similar to its counter part on West campus. It too has a pond with turtles and fish along with a mini Amp-theater/ study area. Azusa Pacific has stepped up in the area of design and great educational learning environments.

The Online Community – I can only comment on the online community. The students in my cohort are ethnically diverse. I am studying with people from all over the world.

Online Program – As an online student, I find APU to be quite excellent. The staff are friendly and answer my questions quite easily. I love the library and its services.

I Love the Rules We Have – I don't think any of the rules we have are too strict. There are not a ton of rules, but I love the rules we have.
College Senior 2011-09-23T00:57:43Z
I Enjoy It – I enjoy that there isn't a ton of parties happening. I have not even heard of parties, which makes me happy. I wish there was a local train station in walking distance so students could go off campus to local attractions without having a car.

Housing Is Okay – I enjoyed my freshman housing, but it wasn't anything special. I enjoy the mods, but they are kind of falling apart. After freshman year, people want to live off campus because of prices.
College Senior 2011-09-23T00:51:25Z
Games Are Fun – The games are fun, but I think the school could advertise sports more and make people want to go. The football games have great turnouts, but I went to a guys' basketball game last year and there were no more than 40 of us. It would be fun if they got people excited about several sports.

Concerned About Safety – Not only is off-campus housing expensive, but it may not be safe. As it is, it's not safe walking around campus or just off-campus at times, and being off-campus would make me feel even more concerned than I am now.

there's really no full scholarships but plenty of small scholarships that are easy to get just because of you high school grades of by writhing a small essay.

Growing City – The city of Azusa is growing and there is something new popping up all the the time. It has your basic needs filled up with grocery stores movies target and food places. The city of Azusa is tight knit with Azusa Pacific University and there is always something going on to connect with the city. Also there is lots of hiking in the area and big attraction are just a drive away like Hollywood and Disneyland.

for starters la weather is so unpredictable. So one usually has to carry an umbrella just in case of any unexpected rain. However, it is not a big deal. every one handles it pretty well.

Health & Safety:
Health and Safety – Safety is alright in Azusa. The school sends out many timely warnings about the activity in the night where people's things are being stolen, and girls are being harassed by "outsiders" who come onto the campus.

APU Bubble – apu is a great school but sometimes there is a tendency for people to get stuck in the apu bubble and forget about the world around us. i have had great experiences with the pacific islanders organization which has become my family away from home and i'm sure that these people will stay my friends for the rest of my life.

Work in Progress Getting Better – the internet access on campus can be slow but they have implemented rules and regulations that better monitor the use of the internet and allows for everyone to have better access. for the most part everyone has their own computer but there are computers available on campus in the libraries, and graphics center. printing on campus can be simple yet complicated. i feel that is it inconvenient if you are not a frequent printer because of the payment process.

There's Something for Everyone – the professors are very helpful and for the most part are all available outside of class. they are always willing to respond with an email and offer any assistance that they can. there are a wide variety of classes one can take, but it is a bummer when the good ones fill up fast. a lot of university services are available online which makes it easy to complete small tasks and errands.

I'd love to have an internship because it would be a great way to gain knowledge and experience in my field. It would give me a better idea of what to expect when I find my career.

Expensive, but a Great Experience – APU, although extremely expensive, is a great place to get your degree. The campus facilities are very nice, and the professors make an effort to reach out to the students. The campus community is fun and lively for the most part.
Recent Alumnus 2011-08-30T18:12:35Z
Limited Drugs/Alchohol on Campus – APU's on-campus housing and overall environment is not a party scene. It is well-monitored by leadership staff, and the student community does a good job of complying with the rules. If anything, drinking is more common than drugs on campus.
Recent Alumnus 2011-08-30T05:45:39Z
Drug and Alcohol Visibility – Students at APU possess a rather self controlled appearance. They understand the consequences of their actions if they lost control and choose to keep their focus on school. There is not an accurate approach to determine exactly if every students is drug free and sober on a daily basis, but APU it is expected that one stays away from harmful items.
