Facilities are great in getting what you need replaced or fixed.

There is a dining hall on campus, a mexican food spot, sushi bar, quick mart, and many more places to eat. The menu's aren't too complex or diverse. My favorite place is the sushi spot, the meals are a little pricey they range from $8 to $12 for a drink and meal. The meal plans are expensive so use them on your favorite food. Using cougar bucks can be convenient when you don't have cash but the items in the mart are a little over priced. I would recommend eating at the mexican place or ordering a whole pizza and saving the rest for meals throughout the day. APU opened a bbq joint outside that is only open a few hours a day, if you have a chance between periods then this is the place to go.

Guys & Girls:
Many caucasians, asians, and african americans; there aren't many hispanics. Most students look relaxed and like they enjoy the school in general, many of them live on campus. Most of them are well dressed, usually barefoot, and appear to feel comfortable. I have seen many with bikes and skateboards, many walk to each campus. People dress casually and dress up for business classes there is a lot of diversity as far as style in dress code. Many students visit each other and study together. Usually, many are engaged by senior year and/or are dating someone they met at the school.

Alot of shopping centers that have convenient stores that most college students use, the big A which is a hiking trail is located nearby the school, the school offers intramural sports which is convenient. There is a gym across the street and many restaurants and fast food joints around. Most plazas are welcoming to APU students and have exclusive offers for them. There are plenty of security trucks and workers on campus and around the campus. Very little hispanics in the school itself but much diversity in regards to other races. Plenty of hispanics outside of the school, people are very sociable.

There is any type of restaurant you would want around campus. There is the perfect price range for any budget.
College Sophomore 2013-08-31T02:28:24Z
There is plenty of food variety! The quality isn't consistent but it is more times good than bad. The dining hall is extremely clean and well stocked. The food venues throughout campus are great.

This school is amazing. It is definitely not what you would expect when attending a Christian school. I have met many people of diverse backgrounds and have been challenged more than I have been my whole life. The faculty and student body encourage thinking with an open mind. I have been a part of many opportunities to learn of other cultures, political views, and Christian outlooks. Azusa Pacific University changed my life and broadened my mind in ways I never would have expected.

Everyone did their part in contributing to the facilities

I am in the Social Work program at APU and love it! The professors are eager to teach what they know and have no problem helping when you're struggling. The program feels more like a family or close circle of friends than a classroom. It's a great program to be apart of.

There are several computer labs accessible on campus, however, the wait for one to open up can be greater than the amount of time one has available. Printing on campus does cost, but not much, which is a great asset for those without another means of access to a printer. The school computers are reliable and fairly quick, but it is much more convenient to bring your own.

It's okay but the rules aren't really enforced well

Health & Safety:
I generally feel very safe on campus. At night, there are campus safety posted on all of the street corners, so I don't worry about walking home alone.

Weather is great at times. It does get hot here but as mentioned earlier I take online courses, so it does not really matter.
College Senior 2013-08-20T01:50:25Z
I would not know about the transportation due to online courses
College Senior 2013-08-20T01:36:54Z
I take online courses. It is not the same when your on campus. However, I did get the opportunity to walk into a meeting and saw that the majority of students where white/Caucasian. The faculty on the other hand was diverse.

Weather is always sunny and wonderful! It makes for great class time breaks.

They are not the newest computers, but they are great for searching the web, getting on the online library, checking your student account, and writing/printing papers.

They are pretty standard for lab computers. Nothing flashy, exactly what you need to get the job done.

Guys & Girls:
You will find surface level christians here. There are many great individuals with pure intentions, but there are also an overwhelming amount of 'church' friendly people. What I mean by this is that they will be outwardly friendly and surface level compassionate, but just the same as any other college away from the public eye.
The main reason I say this is the unreal expectation of many people that a Christian university means extremely 'pious' individuals. Just remember it is a college and that is the age.... with or without chapel.

The housing is very hot and cold depending on where you get placed. If you live in the dorms, they are pretty standard issue for colleges. If you live in Bowles, it is literally a repurposed apartment complex with many problems. However if you live in the Mods or University Village it is much, much nicer.

With my major, there are many opportunities to thrive, such as writing for the newspaper and assisting professors.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:26:05Z
I have not received very helpful financial aid. My situation did not match up with APU's requirements.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:24:42Z
The Housing system is great. Very decent living areas for all years. The only flaw I believe is that it is a requirement to live on campus all four years, which not all students are very happy about.
College Junior 2013-08-13T16:23:15Z
The Computers that are available are very reliable and we have a very goo IMT team.

Public transportation around Azusa is a little sketchy. There are bus stops in close walking distance and a train station not too far away, but there is a high possibility of encountering several homeless and delinquents on your trip. The bus and train financially are much more affordable than calling for a taxi. Most things are of walking distance from the school though.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
