A Safe Campus!

APU really tries to haven a safe campus. They do a good job promoting safety by sending out "timely warning" emails, letting the students know what has been happening in the local area. They post Campus Safety workers along the streets in between the two campuses in the dawn and after-dark hours, which makes me feel much safer walking to class in the early mornings. Keys are required to even access my dorm, and I'm able to call Campus Safety for a ride if it's too dark to walk and the trolleys aren't running.

I have always felt very safe on the campus, even at night when walking to my car alone.

There has been some campus crime, but it appears that happens on every campus. The main concerns were a few laptop thefts early in the year. Nothing too dramatic though. The school does want to keep you very safe and because it is a Christian campus drinking and such activities are discourage. Campus safety will crack down on parties or drinking be aware of that. Because there are two campuses, there is a shuttle to take you from one to the other late at night, which is nice.
