Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Years ago, it was common to walk into the Pub and not even get your ID checked, allowing you to slip on a fake bracelet and drink all night long! Today this is highly unlikely, especially because BABO now has an electronic license card reader. Other hot on-campus party spots have been found in the Trans-Atlantic Tower on the third floor of Coleman Hal, and in Bryant Hall. These are not very good places for large parties, but they are great for socializing and mingling with friends. A free "beer garden" is provided by the school, so sometimes there is no need for a pre-party for the 21-and-over crowd. If the on-campus parties start getting boring and you are looking to get off campus, Boston is the best place to fulfill almost anyone’s wants and needs.

If you’re under 21, the nightclub scene is right for you because there are plenty of fun places that cater to the underage crowd in and around Boston. If you are looking to play pool with friends, go clubbing, or listen to a jazz band play, you can find all that and more in the downtown area. If you don’t want to leave campus, there are plenty of parties, which are relatively chill compared to the dress-up game that you might be forced to play when going into Boston (numerous places have dress code rules). Plus, nothing beats getting free beer—whether it’s at Roger’s Pub, at a Knight Party, or in one of the many suite parties that one of your friends is apt to inform you about.

Terrible

On-Campus are terrible, usually about 50 people crammed in a 15 by 15 living room of a suite. Greek parties are ok, but have to be kept low key or the fraternities will get in a lot of trouble. The best option is to go into boston to BU or another larger school, or to the nightclubs, but be willing to spend upwards of $500 on a table if you go with international students.

Great!

There is always a party whether it is at the frats or peoples dorms. There is a bar on campus so if you're over 21 it is a good time!

Babson...

Babson is a great school. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and the the school has an amazing tendency to seem more like a friendly community than a regular school. However, as the school gets bigger, classes get bigger, and Babson has been cracking down on social options. I think the school has the potential to be even more amazing in the future, but the quality of campus experience is being undermined. It's hard to participate in such giant classes and participation is very important. Finally, there is never anything to do on the weekends and it really made me rethink my college experience and wish I had chosen other schools. The partying at Harvard is actually better. This place is so stagnating and dull. Hopefully things will change because if they did, Babson would actually be a really amazing place.

Gypsy Bar

Truth be told, this nightclub offers one of the hottest upscale night scenes in town. Its chic decor is as much a part of the scenery as the crowd of people donning chi-chi duds. Chill at the bar or the back lounge, then head for the dance floor. Cover is $10–$15.
