College Prowler Take
Transportation is not readily accessible in Wellesley except for the Babson Shuttle, which only operates sporadically. This bus has a weekly schedule with specific traveling times and days, and sometimes it doesn’t run at all because of bad weather. Almost everyone has at least one car on campus, but, for some reason, parents of first-year students are apprehensive to give their babies a car for their first semester in college. But no need to worry: The school parking lots have a variety of vehicles ranging anywhere from a Ford Focus to a Ferrari M3, so if you have a good friend with a car, you are almost guaranteed a ride in comfort to your desired destination.
The commuter rail is the cheapest way of traveling into Boston and the surrounding area, but you also need to get to the train from the College, and that consists of a 30-minute walk. Oh, the horror! Woodland, one of the T stations, is also widely used but only if dropped off by a taxi or a friend. It’s not really feasible to walk there, but if you are up for a one-hour stroll and you’re athletic, then it can be done. With this being said, a car is the easiest and the fastest way of travel.

Walking or running distance if the weather is nice, but hopefully someone you know will have a car to get you to the T if the weather is bad. |

There is not really anything to do around town so there is no real transportation besides going in someone’s car. Everybody is allowed to have a car on campus, so it’s definitely worth investing in one if you don’t. |

I have never used the buses that come to campus. The T is a little bit of a drive, but not too bad. The line that is closest to Babson (the D-Line) takes you right downtown through all the action. |

The Babson shuttle is convenient for people without cars, but it only runs a few times a week. Almost everyone has a car, and that’s the best kind of transportation around here. |

There is no real public transportation around Wellesley. Bring a car if you come here. If you can’tafford one, go to Bentley and maybe I’ll let you work for me someday. |
