College Prowler Take
The rapidly changing climate is what throws students off here, and sometimes even puts people in a bad mood. Consider how you would feel waking up expecting to get some frolicking in the sun for part of the morning, and when you get out of bed it’s snowing! You might think that it’s useful to check out the weather, but don’t rely on the local weathermen too much. They can easily deceive you. The weather is completely unpredictable.
For the most part, students take advantage of being outside in the fall and can’t wait for the spring to do the same. Winter months are the ones newcomers need to worry about the most if they’re not used to this climate. Temperatures in the winter can get below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, so come prepared for extremely cold weather. Guys and girls here wear double-layered pea coats and very warm boots. Layers are definitely the key to staying warm and fahionable. Be ready for all four seasons here. Otherwise you will never survive the New England weather.

It’s hot and muggy at the start of school and cool through mid October. And it’s cold from October to March. I would recommend warm clothes such as heavy coats and sweaters. When in doubt, wear lots of layers. |

Each season it is different because we are in New England, but I love it. |

The weather here is as predictable...
The weather here is as predictable as Florida tornadoes. Sometimes the snow comes and stays, and other times it melts right away and it feels like spring for about a week when it’s really January. Weather predictions here are senseless, so be prepared for all kinds of weather changes. It’s a good idea to bring an umbrella for the fall and many pairs of warm shoes, coats, and hats for the winter. |
