I have only been here for a few months and have found it very easy to make friends. Although for now it is mostly in the classroom since most of the student body have work after/before class. It's easy to be able to study for a while after class with anyone who has the time.

I have discussed possible job opportunities with the career center and they do put many students to work, either at local businesses or on the campus itself.

Online courses here work the same as any other campus that offer online courses. I prefer a traditional classroom experience over online, but even the online courses can be more convenient at times. I would say that online courses are not on par and as helpful as being in a classroom, but they are just as easy to understand if you use the resources that the online courses provide.

You can pretty much rely on the school network when you need to access it. The network is fast and you are able to print out any forms you may need.

Haven't really attended any clubs or events as of yet, and because I don't really find many of them to interest me, I'll have to give this 4 stars. I'm attending at the Coldwater Campus which is a branch off of the Jackson Campus and there are literally no clubs or events here.

I would have to say that it is mainly the student services such as Financial Aid and Counseling that set it apart from the other campuses I have been to. The staff members have been so helpful and explain to me step by step what I should do and how I should go about doing it. So I never really find myself lost.

As a Business Major, there are many different areas of business to study on, and in each area, even if its a class you don't really need to take, you are urged to take that class. I have taken classes in Human Services, and despite it not being part of my major, it's definitely the right direction I would like to take my future business in. I am glad I was recommended into some of their programs.

The professors at this college may vary from being very hand-on and some of them have you learn straight from the books. Most of the time, you are learning hands-on, and the professors take things step by step until everyone can agree that they understand the topic.

It's pretty calm, depending on the campus you go to. The help you need is almost always available. This school genuinely wants you to succeed and will provide you with answers to any of your concerns.

Credits from out of state schools weren't able to transfer, but that is most likely because the school I have gone to wasn't accredited.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial Aid Office was extremely helpful. Was able to afford tuition off of grants alone.

Abysmal. I have only had one professor that was even remotely interested in her students, and she was not particularly knowledgeable on the subject she was teaching.

Baker does offer a service to students to help them find careers after school, but I have no experience with it and have heard mixed results from those who have.
College Junior 2013-11-06T16:31:43Z
Most of the students are adults coming back to school. Many seem very interested in their career path, but almost as many just seem interested in getting through as quickly as possible to get back out into the work force.

My wife and I have had nothing but bad luck with this school. If you any sort of assistance, good luck finding anyone. We have both been sent around in circles trying to find someone to help us with various issues from changing majors to financial aide. My wife is currently trying to transfer to another school to pursue a degree Baker does not offer and she has ordered her transcripts twice, paid for the order twice, and not received them either time. We have tried calling to inquire why we aren't receiving the transcript, but they just keep transferring us until we are eventually hung up on.
Instructors have been decent for the most part, but few have any actual experience teaching. Most seem unmotivated and uninformed. Online classes have been particularly painful. You're only given 6 weeks to go through a whole course. Instructions in the online classes are also vague at best and good luck trying to get in contact with the instructor. Most of the time when I ask a question the instructor doesn't get back to me in time if at all.
Over all, I do not recommend Baker to anyone.

The resources are good, if I have to have copies made for any school assignments I can go the College to get them printed. The wireless access is very helpful since I have a laptop computer, I can set in the student lounge and access my assignments.

When I did my first online class it was totally different, trying to remember that I had to be online to get my assignments and to answer questions from the online professor. Having an online class, the class assignments are put into six weeks instead of ten weeks. I have had some professors that are very strict but then I have had a few that are very understanding.

The facilities on campus are alright, but when trying to use their on line library it is a little difficult.

The staff at Baker have called and offered their help in finding me a job.

They offer free tutoring for students who need it.

I choose this school because everyone seem really nice. They help you find a job after you recieve your degree. I am able to schedule my classes around my schedule. Also they have smaller classes.

I love the student body at Baker College. Everyone so far is really nice and hard working.

The campus lacks enough computer lab space, but the computers, networks, and printers seem to work well.

Being a career college, there isn't much of a social scene or campus life, but the facilites and faculty are very nice and easy to work with.
College Junior 2013-04-03T20:49:08Z
The library is just ok. There are maybe 20 computers in there, so sometimes it is hard to get one to use. The Student Center is nice though. There seem to be some campus activites but none have attracted me so far.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
