Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Although the myriad dining facilities on campus suggest a wide variety of eating options, this is generally not the case. Many of the foods served in The Food Mall are the same as those served at Court Side, which are the same as those served in Elliott Dining Hall. However, certain places are known for certain things. Pizza from Sbarro in The Atrium and Noble Roman’s Express are popular with many students. The deli-style sandwiches in the The Food Mall in Noyer residence complex are popular, but The Food Mall is usually extremely busy at lunch time. All-you-can-eat buffets can be found at Elliott Dining Hall as well as in LaFollette and Noyer residence halls.

Ball State offers several meal plans for students living on campus to choose from. These options range from the Any 10+ Meal Plan, which allows students any 10 meals during a week with $200 of Dining Plus to the Ultimate Choice Meal Plan, which offers students unrestricted dining. Dining Plus is money that allows you to use your BSU ID like a debit card to buy food and some other items on campus.

Campus Dining

I think the food here is very good. There is plenty of variety and the meal plan works very well. I really only have one complaint and that is I wish there were some healthier options on campus. Overall the food quality is fantastic.

Dining: Convenient and Full of Options.

The dining here at Ball State is wonderful. Almost every dorm has its own dining hall, so there is no need to cross the campus to get some food. If you want to, however, its worth the trip. All of the unique dining features are excellent. Most provide the usual cafeteria food (which is above average in quality) as well as incorporating well known, recognizable chain restaurants such as Taco Bell, Starbucks, and Quiznos. All of these venues are covered by the meal plan only up until a certain amount, but its always sufficient. The meal plans themselves also vary in how many meals you get per week and how much additional cash you get. Ultimately its up to you: you can tailor your plan to your specific needs so you never have too much or too little.

Many Food Choices

There are multiple locations on campus to eat for all your meals. The food is pretty great, and there are a lot of options. Taco Bell are Starbucks are on location, and are great.
