Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Off-campus dining is amazing in Miami because there are so many options. Regardless of whether you want pizza, Chinese, seafood, or American, it’s here. Plus, Barry is in the midst of a ton of restaurants, so student are only 10 to 15 minutes away from any food they are craving. Not to mention, many of these restaurants are not expensive at all. If you want to venture a little further from campus, Bayside in downtown Miami is filled with restaurants, culture, music, drinks, shops, and so much more. Going to Bayside is fun because you can people-watch while you eat and drink (if you're under 21, virgin drinks are available, as well). If you are vegetarian, many restaurants offer entrées that do not have meat, so you can enjoy the dining atmosphere with the rest of your friends.

Tokyo Bowl, just five minutes from Barry, offers the best-tasting and best variety of sushi rolls you can imagine. It even has a sushi buffet for $14 if you are tremendously hungry. Many students also like going to Cold Stone Creamery, located about 10 minutes from campus, for their favorite ice cream treats. Near Cold Stone is a healthy smoothie place called Jamba Juice. Using the freshest fruits and ingredients, Jamba Juice smoothies are a refreshing treat after those long hours of studying. If you just want a quick snack, Taco Bell and McDonald’s are less than five minutes from campus, or you can order takeout. No matter what you desire, Miami is the definite food supplier!

Off-Campus Dining Sucks

Unless you have a car, there are not many choices on where to eat. The school has a cafe but it is over priced and closes really early. There aren't many healthy options just BK, McDonalds, Taco-Bell and they are all really far. Restaurants are over priced because they are on the Biscayne area.
