Being that Barry University is in Miami, transportation is definitely reliable. You’ll hear students complain about it, but that’s probably because they didn’t do their research. In the Barry area, Miami-Dade Transit is available until midnight, and if you want to go to cool areas like Bayside or the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the bus will take you there for only a couple of dollars. And, if you missed your regular bus, you can take the Little Haiti bus for only $1, which goes to and from downtown Miami. If you prefer a cab, Yellow Cab of Miami will take you around for a small fortune. Your best bet is to either use the Miami-Dade Transit or find friends with cars.

For long-distance traveling, take the Amtrak train. It is affordable, better than a bus, and you can buy snacks and drinks while you're traveling. If you’d rather fly, Miami International Airport is only 15 minutes from Barry, so it’s very convenient. Overall, Miami is known for its great transportation systems, which are growing every day. No matter where you need to go, Miami has the transportation to get you there.
