Baylor University Reviews
Rating 3.81 out of 5 4,542 reviews
I enjoyed my time at Baylor. I was able to enroll in the Baylor Business Fellows program, which allowed me to pursue my interests broadly. I completed two majors, all the medical school prerequisite courses, a science minor, and a language minor while still having time for electives. I thought there was a good variety of student organizations and opportunities to get involved on campus, no matter what your interests were. I also liked the fact that Greek life is not overwhelming - there's a community there if you're interested in that, but there are many other opportunities for fellowship outside of that circle. I also liked the Christian values of the campus and the school's mission, as a Christian myself. Finally, I enjoyed the many university-wide traditions that occurred every year - it truly brought out Baylor's community of both students and alumni, as well as families. There is a real sense of belonging and family at Baylor.
I love Baylor! The campus and close-knit community makes you feel like you are meant to be here. It truly feels like home and a familiar place to be. The academics are truly worth the price as it is not an easy university. The professors ensure that you learn by challenging you to think with application skills rather than memorization. This, in turn, prepares you for the real world. As for the community and involvement, there are so many different organizations to choose from. It is easy to find your people and make good friends that will last a lifetime. I LOVE Baylor!!!
Baylor is a Christian-based learning environment where faith is incorporated in the education students are pursuing. Majority of the university hold science-based majors and they have a strong crowd of pre-health professions students. The culture of Baylor is clique-y and has limited diversity. With that, it is not a bad environment to be in, but it is not for everyone. Their is a strong allumini that funds a lot of the universities facilities, events, and students. Their is a large population of students following the steps of family, and Baylor strongly holds the sense of tradition close. The university is private, and their is a lot of funding for events, re-modeling, upkeep, and all else that keeps the school held high in standards.
