I love the professors at Belmont! They are all about the student. Because Belmont is a student-centered university, your professors are always there if you need help. Oftentimes, you will develop a personal relationship with your professor.

Well, I am not a member of Greek life so I can only speak from what I've seen. Roughly 12% of Belmont's campus is Greek. Everyone I know who is a part of it absolutely loves it. They're like a family. There are tons of events and retreats that are pretty fun. However, our Greek Life does not have houses because we are a dry campus.

I'm a Biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences. So far, it has been a really good experience. I've learned a ton. And, all of the professors are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The small class sizes are wonderful. I only wish that certain specialty classes like Cancer Biology and Immunology were offered more than once every two years. And I wish that I didn't have to take uninteresting classes like Histology.

Since it is in a large city there are countless restaurants from Mexican, Italian, Asian, etc.

I live in Los Angeles now so it's hard to remember weather anywhere else! :) I do remember really enjoying the grassy areas. I mean, it's the South, so it gets hot in the summer and chilly in the winter but never too extreme. One time we had a tornado warning and we all went into the audio engineering basement. I saw a twister coming down the street in that situation but it only happened once in 4 years.

It's a rigorous academic environment that is also a Christian environment without being too heavy handed religiously. I came from a public school background and really appreciated having people around me at college that could speak well in theological conversations. It's not as hard as an Ivy League but it's not a walk in the park either. It's a respected school both ethically and academically.

I started as a Music Business major which had great academics. Because I didn't want to do audio engineering or take accounting classes anymore I switched to Audio/Video Production major which would be the other major that let me use the classes I had already taken and still get out in 4 years. I'm now working in television so I have used my major well. I will say that at the time I attended the A/V classes were few and all in the basement. Hopefully they've expanded the program now. The classes I took were helpful and informative and the professors were great in both majors. I also minored in Religion and adored the professors in that department. If you major in Music Business or A/V Production, I suggest taking advantage of "Belmont West" opportunities. That's how I ended up in LA working in television and have been here for the past 13 years!

Belmont is a dry campus, but people who want to party will find a way. Vanderbilt is down the street.

It is a private Christian school. That said there are a lot of non-Christians and there is diversity, but it won't be the same as state schools. However the environment is much more supportive and friendly.

Financial aid is hard to come by and being a transfer I am not eligible for merit based scholarships. While that is frustrating it is also common. They are however very supportive and understanding and are able to give resources to find more money.

I'm a classical voice major and I just finished my first semester at Belmont. I can't here from a strong voice school closet to home and Belmont is leaps and bounds above them. The training is incredible. The voice teachers give great corrections and are very helpful and supportive.

The teachers push you, but they are also willing to help a lot. I've learned more this semester than I ever imagined I would. The programs are incredible as well. It's hard, but it's worth it. If you time manage, it is very manageable.

I love Belmont. I went to another college before attending here and my experience had been exponentially better from teachers, quality of education, the dining services, the ability of the school to cater to needs of students and make accommodations when necessary, and accessibility to help. The biggest problem that I had this last semester was simply that my roommate and I did not keep similar schedules. Belmont is a great school.

It's not a rigorous as you think. It's not on par with place like Davidson or Wake Forrest. It is somewhat a smaller, slightly more liberal version of Alabama, or maybe the University of Tennessee. Now, if you are ok with a less rigorous workload, this is a good place. And it is a good education, don't get me wrong. Professors are generally nice, but make friends with them.

I am looking at transferring actually, but not because Belmont is a bad school. It's a great school, but there is less of a "go go go" attitude here. It's much more laid back than NYU of USC, which are the two I'm looking to transfer to. The major work is informative and worth the money. I enjoy the information a lot actually, especially the law classes. But there are a lot of Music Business majors so you have to be very self motivated to get what you want. It's not a place to coat.

Belmont is very strict. It is a tobacco free campus so no one is aloud to smoke on campus. Also alcohol use is strictly monitored. If a person is caught intoxicated on campus they will have negative repercussions. (even if they are of age) If you are found to have any type of illegal drugs you can be kicked out. Overall Belmont is really strict.

Im in the college of music. I am mostly satisfied with the program so far. The workload is huge as far as practicing but other than that its not too bad. The worst part is being a music major there are many classes you have to take that are only 1 credit or 0 credits which makes for an extremely busy schedule. Also practicing is a challenge because of the lac of practice rooms available and certain practice hours are strict in the dorms. For the most part the teachers are great but I have experienced one in particular that does not connect with the students at all. I love the size of the classes and that it is easy to contact the professor if necessary. The amount of personal attention from professors is great and its easy to connect with them on a personal level. This program over all is really preparing me well for the professional world.

It all depends on who you hang out with. Drugs are not very prevalent on campus but can be seen elsewhere.

I can't explain how awful Sodexo is. If I were a student, I would get my doctor to write me a note to get out of it, or at least only 5 meals a week.

Public Transit in Nashville needs some major improvements. I have been stranded multiple times because the buses just aren't reliable.

Greek Life at Belmont is much different than other schools. They are not allowed to have houses, so partying isn't into play on campus. The fraternities and sororities are very school spirited and keep the hipsters at bay.

Could use a larger gym, but all in all the facilities are pretty good. The recording studios are excellent. Beaman SLC is a pretty good place to hangout.

We are in a city so rent is a bit hire than most places but it's not outrageous. Belmont is in a neighborhood so there are a lot of houses for rent around
Sorry, there are no reviews.
