Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

If there’s one thing Beloit can do, it is facilitate. The campus is chock-full of computer labs, kitchens to cook in, and generally nice buildings. They’ve got carpet all over the place, relatively big dorm rooms (some are even equipped with sinks), and I would even go so far as to say that Commons is fairly comfortable for a cafeteria. The library is pretty great, especially since half of its walls are windows, plus it has a good collection of books to mosey through. And there are some good movies down in AV that you can check out, too.

I understand the athletic center needs work, but as long as it’s not raining, the roof seems to work just fine. Other than the few days when it’s unbearably hot, the lack of air-conditioning in the academic buildings slides by unnoticed. For the most part, Beloit does a good job of providing students with what they need to lead a comfortable college life. The main problems might just get reckoned with if we have enough students complaining.

Beautiful & Historical

Beloit College is a beautiful campus and maintains a very proud history. The college strives to provide state of the art science experiences with its new sciences building and have just completed a beautiful new athletic field. The athletic building is excellent - and offers a huge variety of activities.

General Campus

I think the campus is beautiful. There are lots of places to sit outside and watch the trees, the sunset, and the squirrels. Campus is small, but everything has it's pros and cons.

Decent for Its Age and Size

Great Anthropology and Art museums. The library is pretty big for such a small campus - and you can usually get anything through the Inter-library Loan system with other colleges. Offices are scattered throughout the campus, and can be a little confusing to find at first. Only one "fast food" place and one "coffee" place only available during weekdays. Mail center is only open on weekdays. The academic buildings are really old, but generally look good.
