The dating pool at Beloit is about the size of a very large puddle, and just about as dirty. Everybody who has dated someone at Beloit has, by association, dated a good portion of the campus. Even a decent-looking guy could have a black past lurking behind him because he made out with the easy girl on campus and everybody knows about it. A good man is hard to find at Beloit, but certainly not impossible. People have made some catches in that dating puddle, and there are still catches swimming around. Ladies are in surplus, and we’ve got a good batch with some absolute gems.

A big campus complaint is that the faces just don’t measure up to high school’s college love expectations. Beloit has a grand mixture, which means there’s something for everyone, but there may not always be enough to go around. Some of the best-looking people I’ve ever seen have graced our campus, but there are a lot of people who don’t seem to care to make themselves look halfway decent. The sexual activity is normal for any college campus, probably even a bit more tame, but we like to keep that behind the doors that should be closed. You can expect to find at least one freshman girl to get a reputation for getting around, and a male-style whore is there just to keep up the quota.

Incestuous.

On this campus, you've got a wide array of people (LARP-ers - bros - bookworms - hippies). Seeing as it's a small campus, it's an incestuous one. Good looks is not what Beloit College is known for, but we make do with what we've got.

Relaxed Appearances

Physical appearance isn't something the people here are too concerned about. Very few people spend lots of time getting ready and picking out their clothes every morning, so we definitely aren't a polished looking group of kids. It seems like the college is getting more and more attractive every year. There are definitely some hotties, but nothing compared to bigger schools with a bigger selection. That is the problem going to a smaller school, if you don't find anyone around you very attractive then you are Just kind of stuck making the best out of what you have.

It's difficult to rate how the people look phsically, since different people have differnt preferences and it's not something I don't pay attention to for the most part. There is an extremely wide range of interests that are held by this group of people.

Social Scene

It's a different sort of scene. More of a background than anything else. You'll see people doing some really weird things, but there's always a crowd huddled in one of the frat or sorority houses, dancing the night away. If you can't find your friends there, check the C-Haus.

Hookups or Relationships?

A lot of people seem to be in a relationship with "somebody." That somebody may or may not go to Beloit College. It's pretty easy to get to know who's taken and who's not, so you can make moves accordingly.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

In class—the school is so small, chances are you'll have class with someone you fancy, and classes are so small, chances are you'll find a seat open near them, and the campus is so small, chances are you'll see them around and you can make moves accordingly.

Dress Code

This is where the old Beloit motto, "Invent yourself," comes into play. Attire on the Beloit College campus will range from cape-and-sword to shoe-free (even in winter) to truck driver/indie rocker all the way over to good old-fashioned trendy. It is a plethora of fashion senses, and it all blends together.
