College Prowler Take
During your first two years, you will most likely be busy taking required classes and won’t actually meet a professor in your major until junior year. However, this is not to be seen as a drawback because even professors outside your major are generally knowledgeable in their field and always available for consultation or extra help. One thing is certain: Bentley professors do not want to see anyone fail and are willing to go out of their ways so that doesn’t happen.
Because of the strong emphasis on a complete real-world business education, all of Bentley’s professors may not actually be professors at all. There is a large percentage of instructors who are retired businesspeople who have already made their life’s fortune and now use teaching as a way to supplement their lifestyle. The teaching styles vary from having only a traditional midterm and final exam to writing journal entries every night to offering extra credit for watching The Apprentice, but you can expect group work as a standard in any class.

We are known as a world-class business school that specializes in accountancy. I have always felt that the faculty and staff have had a very positive impact on my experiences here at school. The workload is generally fair, with some individual exceptions.

I came to the University because...
I came to the University because they have an architecture program, the campus is great, and most of the professors I have had have been close to amazing. They are available to answer questions and give you extra help with coursework. Class discussion is encouraged in smaller classes and makes it worth going to class.

I find that many of my professors...
I find that many of my professors do little or nothing to get students involved in the classroom. With the exception of my GB classes, professors just lecture for an hour and 15 minutes, and then the students get up and leave. Classes are very boring, which causes little or no interest in the coursework and makes college feel like an extension of high school. |

During freshman and sophomore...
During freshman and sophomore year, the professors are not that good; oftentimes, they are young and inexperienced. However, the professors in junior and senior year are excellent. They really build relationships with their students. |
